The present invention relates to an electronic musical instrument that can select a tone (referred to as a machine) and perform using the selected tone.

したものである。 In order to arbitrarily select and play the tone of the slave unit and the parent unit using the controls on the parent unit, a switch for specifying the tone number of the slave unit must be placed on the parent unit in addition to the tone selection switch of the parent unit. either the master unit and the slave unit must share a tone selection switch. However, when both switches are used in common, the tone of the slave unit changes at the same time as the tone of the parent unit, which is inconvenient. The present invention solves these problems and improves operability so that smooth performance can be performed even when changing tones frequently.

る。 In the figure, reference numeral 1 indicates an electronic piano used as a base unit, and there are four types of preset tones. Reference numeral 2 denotes a sound source module which is used as a slave unit and produces sound with a pitch determined by a control signal inputted from an input terminal and a tone set internally. The timbre of the master electronic piano 1 is selected, and the timbre of the slave sound source module 2 is set to 2. Each electronic musical instrument used in this embodiment can be controlled by MIDI codes. (MIDI code is Musical
The acronym stands for Instrument Digital Interface, and it is a standard code for mutually transmitting/receiving performance and operation information between keyboards and other devices from various manufacturers, and this information can be used to enable performances on other models. ) In such a connection, when the base digital piano 1 and slave sound source module 2 are playing with their respective preset tones, the keyboard operation of the base digital piano 1 causes the base digital piano 1 and slave sound source module 2 to change the preset tones of slave sound source module 2 to 3.
If you want to change to the desired tone number, press 3 on the tone selection switch 5, which corresponds to the desired tone number of the slave tone generator module 2, while pressing the mode switch 4 on the base digital piano 1.The CPU 21 will judge and memorize the state. ,
Performance information MIDI code including tone change code
Output from MIDI terminal 6. The code is input to the slave sound source module 2 via the MIDI bus. As a result, the slave sound source module 2 is played with the tone of preset 3 of the slave sound source module 2 under the control of the performance information of the keyboard 27 and the like of the master electronic piano 1. Next, if you want to change the preset tone of electronic piano 1 to, for example, in this state, do not press mode switch 4, but press tone selection switch 5.
When only the upper 3 is pressed, the CPU 21 judges the state, memorizes the number 3 of the tone selection switch 5 that corresponds to the preset tone of the selected electronic piano 1, and changes the preset tone of the base unit electronic piano 1 to .

The changed tone color can be used to perform on the keyboard of the parent device.

的価値大である。 As described above, according to the present invention, there is no need to provide a special tone selection switch for slave connected devices, and the preset tone number of the master unit can be changed by the simple operation of pressing the mode switch and selecting the tone selection switch. Similarly, on the base unit, you can select any preset tone without changing the preset tone number of the slave unit by simply pressing the tone selection switch. Since it is possible to perform using the selected tones of each electronic instrument, it has great practical value as a parent unit of an electronic instrument that selects and plays multiple preset tones. It is.
