Abstract

PURPOSE:To reliably photograph an object outside a car room when the interior of a car is brighter than the outside of a car and to prevent adhesion of dust in a car room to an image pickup lens by providing an image pickup device installed in a car room for photographing an object outside a car and a cylindrical lens hood located between the image pickup device and a windshield glass surface or another window glass surface. CONSTITUTION:When an object outside a car is photographed through a windshield glass 1 by means of video cameras 2 and 3, no light in a car room enters lens hoods 6 and 7 through the light shield action of the hoods 6 and 7, whereby even when the interior of a car room is brighter than the outside of a car, the interior of the hoods 6 and 7 is always kept in a darker state than the outside of a car. Thus, the surface of the glass 1 within the visual fields of the camera 2 and 3 is not working as a mirror, and the object outside a car is easily and reliably photographed by means of the cameras 2 and 3. Further, since the image pickup lenses of the cameras 2 and 3 are covered with the hoods 6 and 7 and the glass 1, dust floating in a car room is prevented from adhesion on an image pickup lens surface.

Conventional in-vehicle imaging devices are as described above, so when the interior of the vehicle is brighter than the outside, the glass surface of the vehicle becomes chained and projects an image of the inside of the vehicle, so if this image is captured, objects outside the vehicle cannot be detected. There was an impossible task.

Further, there is a problem in that dust inside the vehicle is suspended by a ventilation system or a blower such as an air conditioner installed in the vehicle and adheres to the imaging lens surface, causing noise in the image signal obtained by imaging.

[Function] In the vehicle-mounted imaging device according to the present invention, even if the interior of the vehicle becomes brighter than the outside of the vehicle, the lens hood blocks the light inside the vehicle, so that the glass within the field of view of the imaging device does not function as a mirror. , it is possible to image objects outside the vehicle. In addition, since the imaging lens surface is covered with a lens hood and a glass surface, dust from inside the vehicle does not adhere to it.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. 1st
In the cabinet, 1 is the windshield of car A, 2.3 is a pair of video cameras as imaging devices arranged inside the cabin of the car, and the imaging lens surface is attached to the windshield l.
It is fixed to the ceiling 5 in the vehicle interior via a mounting bracket 4 toward the side. Reference numeral 6 denotes a cylindrical lens foot disposed between the video camera 2 and one surface of the windshield, and numeral 7 denotes a cylindrical lens foot disposed between the video camera 3 and one surface of the windshield. These lens hoods 6.7 have a black finish with a light-shielding property and a non-reflective interior, and cover each viewing range of the video camera 2.3. The video cameras 2 and 3 are arranged so that they can take images of the outside of the vehicle through the inside of lens hoods 6 and 7, each finished in black. This video camera 2,
3 is applied to an optical distance measuring device such as that disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 62-53050.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained with reference to FIG. When photographing objects outside the vehicle through the windshield 1 using the video cameras 2 and 3, the lens hood 6.7
The light blocking effect prevents light from entering the vehicle interior into the lens hoods 6, 7, so that even if the interior of the vehicle is brighter than the outside of the vehicle, the interior of the lens hoods 6, 7 can always be kept darker than the outside of the vehicle.

Therefore, the surface of the windshield 1 within the field of view of the video camera 2.3 does not act as a mirror, making it easy and reliable for the video camera 2.3 to image objects outside the vehicle. Further, since the imaging lenses of the video camera 2.3 are each covered by a lens hood 6.7 and a windshield 1, dust floating in the vehicle interior does not adhere to the imaging lens surface.

In the above embodiment, the case where the front of the car A is imaged through the windshield 1 is described, but the same configuration may be used when the rear of the car A is imaged through the rear window glass. Furthermore, the two lens hoods 6 and 7 may be integrally molded from plastic or the like, and are not limited to the above embodiment.

As described above, according to the present invention, the cylindrical lens hood is disposed between the imaging device installed in the vehicle interior and the surface of the windshield or other window glass. It is possible to reliably capture an image of an object outside the vehicle even when the light is brighter than the outside of the vehicle, and it also has the effect of preventing the imaging lens from being contaminated by dust floating inside the vehicle interior.
