It then relates to an image recording apparatus in which heat development is carried out, and then an image is obtained on the image-receiving material through transfer by superimposing the image-receiving material on the image-receiving material and applying pressure thereto.

A system is known in which a synthetic polymer resin wall capsule containing a vinyl compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and a colorant precursor is supported on a support, as disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 36. The image recording method using this system is to imagewise harden the microcapsules by exposure to light, rupture the unhardened microcapsules by applying pressure, and obtain a color image from the released colorant precursor. The method is characterized in that high quality images can be obtained through simple dry processing.

It is disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 275742. This recording material is a photosensitive heat-developable material, in which at least a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compound, and a color image forming substance are coated on a support. The color imaging material consists of a photosensitive composition encapsulated in identical microcapsules.

It is disclosed in Publication No. 49. In this image recording method, first, imagewise exposure is performed to form a latent image, and then the polymerizable compound in the area where the latent image exists is polymerized by heating to generate a polymer compound and the microcapsules are hardened. The color image-forming substance is then placed on an image-receiving material onto which the color image-forming substance can be transferred, and pressure is applied to rupture at least a portion of the microcapsules in areas where no latent image exists, thereby transferring the color image-forming substance to the image-receiving material. This is to obtain an image. On the other hand, a method of polymerizing a polymerizable compound in a portion where a latent image is not formed, and an image forming method using the same are described in JP-A-62-81635 and JP-A-1-54.
It is described in Publication No. 101.

The first method is to take out the photosensitive material that has been cut into sheets of the required size or the photosensitive material that has been wound around a supply roller, cut it, imagewise expose the sheet-shaped photosensitive material, and then heat develop it. This is a method of performing transcription. The second method is to convey the photosensitive material sent out from the supply roller in only one direction through imagewise exposure, heat development, and transfer without cutting it, and then wind the used photosensitive material around a take-up roller or the like to remove it from the outside. It was discharged to

The drawback is that the photosensitive layer containing microcapsules is easily scratched.

点を有する。On the other hand, in the second method, it is possible to feed the photosensitive layer without the conveyance roller coming into contact with it, but since the photosensitive material is conveyed only in one direction, it is difficult to form an image on the image-receiving material sheet by sheet. The end of the exposed photosensitive material is pressure-transferred and the photosensitive material is conveyed until it is sent out from between the pressure rollers. In this state, exposure for the next image formation is performed, so the exposure section There is a problem in that the unused photosensitive material between the roller and the pressure roller is wasted.

感光転写型画像記録装置により達成した。The object of the present invention is to use a photosensitive material having on a support a photosensitive layer containing microcapsules containing at least a silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compound, a color image forming substance, and a base or a base precursor. In a photosensitive transfer type image recording device that performs heat development and then overlays an image-receiving material and pressurizes them to form an image on the image-receiving material by transfer, a supply roller around which the unused photosensitive material is wound and a used photosensitive material. A mechanical part that allows a take-up roller for winding the material to rotate freely, an exposure part that performs imagewise exposure of the photosensitive material, a heat development part that heats and develops it, a pressure roller part that applies pressure to transfer, and a pressure exposure method. It has a separating section that separates the material and the image-receiving material, and the used photosensitive material is wound up, and the unexposed and undeveloped portion of the photosensitive material that has passed through the exposure section and the heat development section is rewound so that it can be reused. This was achieved using a photosensitive transfer type image recording device characterized by the following.

An amount of photosensitive material corresponding to the size of the image desired to be formed is pulled out from the supply roller 3 in the direction of arrow q at the same speed as the moving speed of the original stage 1, and passes through the exposure section 4. The take-up roller 8 rotates in the direction of arrow R at the same time as the conveyance of the photosensitive material starts, and the supply roller 3 is rotated in the direction S by the pulling force of the photosensitive material. The exposed portion of the photosensitive material passes through the thermal development section 5 at the same speed and reaches the pressure roller section 6. There, it is superimposed on the image receiving material coming from the image receiving material supply section 9, moves in the direction of the arrow U, and enters the pressure transfer section, at the same time the pressure roller 7 moves in the direction of the arrow t to perform pressure transfer.

。Before the end of the image-receiving material is sent out from the pressure transfer section, the pressure roller 7 moves in the direction of the arrow V and the pressure is released. The transferred image-receiving material is discharged, and the rotation of each roller is temporarily stopped. Rewinding of the unexposed area is performed by rotating the supply roller 3 in the direction of the arrow w7i. The supply roller may be rotated in the W direction by the length between the end of the photosensitive material in the exposure and thermal development section and the rewinding position.
