Abstract

PURPOSE:To weld a nozzle element to the bottom plate of a fiber-forming bushing with a sufficient strength without deviating or tilting the center of the nozzle element from a position preliminarily determined on the bottom surface of the bushing. CONSTITUTION:The production method comprises forming a Pt solder layer partially or wholly on the outer periphery of a nozzle element, directly fitting the nozzle element into a hole made in the bottom plate of a bushing, thermally melting the Pt solder layer to fix the nozzle element to the bottom plate, and subsequently drilling the center of the nozzle element to make a spinning hole, thereby permitting to accurately place the nozzle element in the hole made in the bottom plate and further surely fix the leg part of the nozzle element to the bottom plate.

[Prior Art] A bushing for fiber forming has a number of nozzles protruding from the bottom of a boat-shaped container made of Pt or Pt alloy into which a molten fiber raw material is placed, and the molten glass raw material flows out from the nozzles. The fiber-forming bushing is configured so that the tip of the fiber-forming bushing has a fiber shape. The method of attaching the nozzle to the bottom plate of such a fiber-forming bushing is described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 45-2329 and Japanese Patent Publication No. 59-1.
There is one as shown in No. 25265. That is,
As shown in FIG. 4, a rivet-shaped nozzle element 4 is formed by integrating a foot portion 1 and a truncated conical portion 3 having a stepped portion forming a large-diameter surface 2 following the foot portion 1. The foot part 1 is locked into a hole 6 with a diameter of about 2 mm drilled in the bottom plate 5 as shown in Fig. At this time, as shown in FIG. 6, the washer 7 can be used alone, aligned as shown in the two rows on the left in FIG. 7, and locked as shown in FIG. 8, or As shown in FIG. 9, the continuous sheet 7 is aligned as shown in FIG. 10 and locked as shown in FIG. After that, the bottom plate 5 and the nozzle elements 4 are heated to melt the washer 7 and become a whole, and then a hole is made in the center of each nozzle element 4 as shown in FIG. 12 to form fibers. It is used as a bushing. However, according to such conventional technology, when locking the nozzle element 4 to the bottom plate 5, the tip of the foot part 1 of the nozzle element 4 is fixed by caulking, but when performing this caulking, the nozzle element 4 and bottom plate 5
Since the washer 7 is interposed between them, the accuracy of caulking is poor, resulting in variations in the degree of close contact between the washer 7, the nozzle element 4, and the bottom plate 5, and deviations in the center position of the nozzle element 4. As a result, the alignment of the nozzle element 4 after heat welding becomes poor, and uneven thickness occurs at the tip of the nozzle element 4 during drilling of the nozzle element 4, which is performed later, which causes inconvenience when forming glass fibers when actually used. result. In addition, since the washer 7 is arranged around the hole in the bottom plate, during heat welding, the molten Pt solder flows around the hole in the bottom plate, and does not enter the hole and is welded in the thickness direction. Insufficient portions are likely to occur, resulting in problems with durability.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention involves forming a Pt brazing layer on a part or all of the outer periphery of a nozzle element in advance, and heating the nozzle element by directly fitting and locking the nozzle element into a hole made in a bottom plate. By melting the Pt solder and fixing the nozzle element by welding, the nozzle element can be accurately positioned in the hole drilled in the bottom plate, and the legs can be firmly fixed.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the nozzle element, FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a composite wire, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the nozzle element fitted into the hole in the bottom plate.
The core material 8 is made of Pt alloy wire, with an inner diameter of 15.1 mm and a wall thickness of 0.
After fitting and tightly fitting the 8 mm Pt pipe 9, 10
Diffusion treatment was performed at 00℃, this composite material was wire-drawn,
A composite wire 10 having a diameter of 2 mm as shown in FIG. 2 was obtained. Next, this composite wire 10 is processed into a header to form a nozzle element 12 having a Pt brazing layer 11 on the surface layer as shown in FIG. After the tips of the legs 13 are caulked and locked, the area around the nozzle element 12 is heated with a burner or the like to melt the Pt brazing layer on the surface and make the entire body into one piece. Thereafter, a hole was made in the center of each nozzle element 12 to form a fiber-forming bushing.

According to the present invention described in detail above, a Pt brazing layer is formed on a part or all of the outer circumference of the nozzle element, and the foot of this nozzle element is directly fitted into the hole in the bottom plate. Later, by heating and melting the Pt brazing layer to make it a complete unit, the nozzle element will not stick eccentrically to the hole in the bottom plate, and the alignment will be extremely good. This has the effect of making it possible to form a good nozzle without uneven thickness at the tip of the nozzle when drilling is performed. In addition, by forming a Pt brazing layer around the foot and fitting it into the hole in the bottom plate, the welding condition between the foot and the hole is ensured, and the finish is good, resulting in a durable fiber-forming bushing. be able to.
