現像部の加熱装置によって加熱されてしまうため、感光
性あるいは熱現像性が劣化し、画像露光および熱現像を
行っても貧弱な画像しか得られない事が問題となってい
た。

る事を防ぐように、熱現像部の加熱装置を断熱材でカバ
ーする機構を有する事を特徴としており、この画像形成
装置によって本発明の目的は達成された。

する感光要素を含む感光層を有し、熱現像感光材料送り
出しローラー5に巻かれている連続した熱現像感光材料
7は、光源1の光で、原画台13上に置かれた原画14
からの反射光により露光装置12で画像露光される。次
に画像露光された熱現像感光材料7は、熱現像用加熱装
置2によって加熱され、熱現像され、受像材料8と重ね
合わせて圧力転写装置4によって加圧され、熱現像感光
材料に含まれる色画像形成物質が露光に応じて受像材料
8に転写されて画像が形成される。その復電なり合った
熱現像感光材料7と受像材料8とは分離装置9により分
離され、画像形成された受像材料7は出力画像用トレー
10へ、また使用済の熱現像感光材料7は、使用済熱現
像怒光材料巻き取りローラー6に巻き取られる。

い部分は、断熱材1の穴のおいていない部分によって加
熱される事から保護される。

されていない部分を使用する事が可能になり、熱現像感
光材料7を、無駄なく有効に使用する事ができる。
