【考案の詳細な説明】
[産業上の利用分野]
本考案は刈払機における巻き付き防止体に関す
るものであり、詳しくは巻き付こうとする草を確
実に切断すべく切断刃を水平方向と垂直方向に配
設し、前記水平刃は高さ方向の角度を適宜異なえ
て高さ方向に広範囲の切断を可能にすると共に、
垂直刃は高さを調節自在とし、更に上方より侵入
する刈草の切断を可能にしたことを特徴とする刈
払機における巻き付き防止体に関するものであ

[従来技術とその問題点]
刈払機は中空状の主杆の一端にギヤーケース等

内のギヤに伝えられ、これにより刈刃が回転し草
等を刈り倒すよう構成されている。しかし、その
刈刃はギヤーケースに回転自在に軸支された回転
軸の端部に受け金等を介して螺合するナツト等に
よつて締着されており、刈払い作業中に軟らかい
刈草或いはつる草等がギヤーケースと刈刃の間に
露出する回転軸或いは受け金等に巻き付くことが
多々あつた。該刈草の巻き付きによつてエンジン
に過負荷がかかり、刈刃の回転が低下して著しく
作業能率が下がるので、作業者は刈草が巻き付か
ないように刈刃に少量の草がかかる状態で使用し
たり、草の巻き付きを発見すれば作業を中止して
エンジンを止め、巻き付いた刈草を除去していた
のが実情である。作業能率をより向上せしめるた
めにはこの巻き付き防止対策が急務となつてい

をでき得る限り小さくすればより切断効果が上が
ることが分かつた。ギヤーケースと刈刃の間隔及
び角度等は刈払機のメーカーによつて多少異なつ
ているが、垂直刃の高さを調節可能にすればこれ
らの各機種に対応し得ることになる。又水平刃も
一直線上に配設するのではなく、夫々の上下方向
の角度を少しづつ変えておけば更に切断効果がア

互の部位には、高さ調節自在に垂直刃を配設し、
本体底部中央には適宜の装着用孔を穿設してなる
刈払機における巻き付き防止体を呈せんとするも

る。尚、本実施例においては該水平刃3,3……
を周壁2と一体に成形しているが別体の個々の水
平刃3,3……をボルトを用いて取り付けること
も可能である。周壁2外面の前記水平刃3と次の
水平刃3の中間位置には後述の垂直刃5,5……
の厚みと略同じ深さで垂直刃5,5……を上下方
向に摺動し得る凹部6を形成しており、該凹部6
の中央には取り付け孔となるボルト孔7を穿設し
ている。4は本体の底部中央に穿設した装着用孔

[考案の効果]
以上のように本考案は、シヤーレ型本体1の周
壁2頂上に、外方向へ向けて複々数の水平刃3,
3……を突出せしめ、該水平刃3,3……を高さ
方向にそれぞれ角度を異なえると共に、周壁2の
水平刃3,3……と交互の部位には、高さ調節自
在に垂直刃5,5……を配設し、本体1の底部中
央には適宜の装着用孔4を穿設してなる刈払機に
おける巻き付き防止体であるから、従来は刈払い
作業中に軟らかい刈草或いはつる草等がギヤーケ
ースと刈刃の間に露出する回転軸等に巻き付くこ
とが多々あつた。この刈草の巻き付きによつてエ
ンジンに過負荷がかかり刈刃の回転が低下して著
しく作業能率が下がるので作業者は刈草が巻き付
かないように刈刃に少量の草がかかる状態で使用
したり、草の巻き付きを発見すれば作業を中止し
てエンジンを止め巻き付いた刈草を除去していた
が、本考案に係る巻き付き防止体1を装着するこ
とにより、回転軸12等に巻き付こうとする刈草
は刈刃14と共に回転する該巻き付き防止体1の
外方向へ突出した水平刃3,3……と上方へ突出
した垂直刃5,5……により確実に切断される。
しかも巻き付き防止体1の水平刃3,3……と垂
直刃5,5……は水平方向と垂直方向交互に多数
個配設されているので、一度切断された刈草は次
の刃によつてまた切断されることとなり、草が短
く切断されることから巻き付くことは皆無とな
る。その上、ギヤーケース11と刈刃14の接近
した位置で垂直刃5,5……は該ギヤーケース1
1下面に接近せしめるべく調節されているので、
ギヤーケース11の下面と刈刃14の間を通過し
ようとする刈草は確実に切断され、草が巻き付く
ことによつてエンジンを止めることもなく、又刈
刃14全域に草をかけて刈り払つても巻き付くこ
とはないので作業能率は著しく向上するものであ
