Diatom algae are used as feed in the aquaculture and seed production process of snails such as abalone and creeping animals such as sea cucumbers. Traditionally, silica algae have been cultured by attaching them to collectors using corrugated vinyl plates, but there are two general methods for culturing silica: one is fertilization management in land-based aquariums, and the other is natural reproduction in natural seawater. It has been adopted.

In the conventional silica cultivation methods mentioned above, the former cultivation method requires large equipment and is relatively difficult to control conditions such as water temperature. The problem was that it was easily influenced by conditions, making stable production impossible. This also led to secondary problems such as a shortage in the supply of diatoms and an increase in costs.

The silica spray culture device of the present invention was made to solve the above problems, and has a large number of collectors arranged in multi-layers that can be attached and detached indoors in the air.
A water sprinkler that sprays the culture solution onto the collector is installed near the top of the collector, and a culture solution supply device that filters the culture solution dripped from the collector and supplies it again to the water sprinkler. With this configuration, silica algae can be stably cultured in large quantities in the air without using an aquarium.

In these drawings, 1 is a simple house made of aggregate and at least a roof portion of a transparent material. Reference numeral 2 denotes pillars, and a plurality of pillars are installed inside the simple house 1 at two levels, upper and lower. 3
The collector is provided with a hole 3a at its upper end, through which the support 2 passes and is suspended from the support 2. The collectors 3 are detachable and movable from the support 2, and a large number of collectors 3 are suspended from one support 2. Since the pillar 2 is constructed in two stages, upper and lower, the collector 3
are arranged in two layers in the simple house 1.

A plurality of water sprinklers 4 are installed in the vicinity of the upper part of the collector 3 in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the collector 3 is arranged on the pillars 2. This water sprinkler 4 is formed by providing a large number of spray holes at appropriate positions on the circumferential surface of a pipe. Reference numeral 5 denotes a culture solution supply device, which is composed of a filter 5a and a pump section 5b. The filter 5a is provided in a tank 6 provided on a part of the indoor floor 7 of the simple house 1, and the pump section 5b pumps the culture solution sucked through the filter 5a to each water sprinkler 4. .

The indoor floor of the simple house 1 is slightly sloped down toward a tank 6 provided in a part of the house, so that the culture solution dripping onto the floor 7 is collected in the tank 6. .

Therefore, when the culture solution supply device 5 is activated and the culture solution is sprayed from the water sprinkler 4, the culture solution is sprinkled on the surface of the collector 3, gradually cultivating the silica algae attached to the collector 3. Flow down. The culture solution that dripped onto the floor surface 7 after flowing down the surface of the collector 3 is collected in a tank 6, and after removing unnecessary silica, seaweed, spores, etc. with a filter 5a, it is passed through the pump 5b again. The water is fed under pressure to the water sprinkler 4.

Note that the amount, concentration, temperature, etc. of the culture solution sprayed from the water sprinkler 4 to the collector 3 can be controlled by installing these controllers in the culture solution supply device 5 (not shown), and can be controlled using a computer. It is also possible to do so.
