It is held by tightening the packing interposed between the flange of the side member and the cap nut and the outer circumferential screw of the female side member.

It cannot be used in cases where quick joining is required, such as during work.

Moreover, strong watertightness and fitting strength can be immediately achieved due to the synergistic effect of the elasticity of the synthetic resins and the tapered surfaces.

強度が向上する利点がある。 Furthermore, since a plurality of annular grooves are formed on both tapered mating surfaces, the contact pressure based on the elasticity between the tapered surfaces is further increased, and after the adhesive has solidified, a foothold is formed, so to speak. This has the advantage of further improving the adhesion strength.

強度がえられる利点がある。 Furthermore, when the two are elastically connected, the stepped portions of the annular groove mesh with each other, creating a so-called ratchet, which increases the strength in the pulling direction, providing sufficient sealing and bonding even against high-pressure water. It has the advantage of being strong.

おいてもよい。 The pipe joint constructed as described above is connected, for example, as follows. First, the pipe being supplied with water is cut and the upstream side is sealed off with a stopper or the like, and then the male member 3 and the female member 4 are fixed with adhesive or the like to the ends of the two pipes 12 (the upstream pipe and the replaced downstream pipe) to be connected. Next, the stopper is removed and at the same time, the male fitting portion 6, whose tapered surface 6a has been previously coated with adhesive (A in Fig. 3), is fitted into the tapered inner peripheral surface 11 of the female member 4. Furthermore, the cap nut 2 is firmly screwed into the outer peripheral thread 9 of the female member 4 to maintain the tapered surfaces pressed against each other (see Fig. 2).
The adhesive A may also be applied to the inner peripheral surface 11 of the female side member 4.

のネジ締結力との両方によつて充分に高くなる。 Since the adhesive enters into the annular groove 6b when it is applied, it melts the fitting surface after joining and becomes a foothold when solidified, further improving the adhesive strength. Therefore, the male side member 3 and the female side member 4
The sealing performance of the tapered part is sufficiently maintained, and the connection between the two is achieved by using the adhesive in the tapered part and the cap nut 2.
The screw fastening force is sufficiently high.

When the cap nut 2 is then tightened, the meshing annular grooves 6b are shifted by one or two positions, further maintaining high sealing performance.
