Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the magazine having a sufficient light shielding property and without forming a scratch-shaped pattern on a picture obtained by providing a light shielding member in contact with the surface opposite to the photosensitive layer with a support in between and not furnishing a light shielding member in contact with the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material 4 leaving a roll 1 is deflected by the rollers 5 and 6 in contact with the surface opposite to a photosensitive layer with a support in between the delivered from a magazine outlet 7. The photosensitive material is shielded from light by light shielding plates 8 and 9 capable of being brought into contact with the surface opposite to the photosensitive layer with a support in between the light shielding plates 10-13 which are on the photosensitive layer side but not brought into contact with the photosensitive layer. As a result, the material is sufficiently shielded from light, and a scratch-shaped pattern is not formed on the obtained picture.

More specifically, a photosensitive material is coated on a support with a substance that is photosensitive and is developed by heating, and the resulting image is transferred by pressure, and the photosensitive material is subjected to imagewise exposure. The photosensitive material magazine is then subjected to heat development, and then superimposed on an image-receiving material and pressurized to obtain an image on the image-receiving material by transfer.

As an example of an image recording material using microcapsules encapsulating a photosensitive composition, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 57-1798
A system is known in which a synthetic polymer resin wall capsule containing a vinyl compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and a colorant precursor is supported on a support, as disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 36. The image recording method using this system is to imagewise harden the microcapsules by exposure to light, rupture the unhardened microcapsules by applying pressure, and obtain a color image from the released colorant precursor. The method is characterized in that high quality images can be obtained through simple dry processing.

However, this system has the drawback of being significantly lower in photosensitivity than systems using silver halide. This drawback has been improved by providing high photosensitivity and simple dry processing. A novel recording material capable of obtaining high quality images is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 61-275742 filed by the present applicant.
It is disclosed in the publication No. This recording material is a photosensitive heat-developable material, in which at least a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compound, and a color image forming substance are coated on a support. The forming material consists of a photosensitive composition encapsulated in identical microcapsules.

Regarding the image recording method of recording images using this photosensitive material, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 61-2788 filed by the present applicant
It is disclosed in Publication No. 49. In this image recording method, first, imagewise exposure is performed to form a latent image, and then the polymerizable compound in the area where the latent image exists is polymerized by heating to generate a polymer compound and the microcapsules are hardened. The color image-forming substance is then placed on an image-receiving material onto which the color image-forming substance can be transferred, and pressure is applied to rupture at least a portion of the microcapsules in areas where no latent image exists, thereby transferring the color image-forming substance to the image-receiving material. This is to obtain an image. On the other hand, a method of polymerizing a polymerizable compound in a portion where a latent image is not formed, and an image forming method using the same are described in JP-A-62-81635 and JP-A-1-54.
It is described in Publication No. 101.

This type of photosensitive material is wound into a roll and stored in a magazine for storage, transportation, and setting in an apparatus. In order to ensure the light-shielding properties of the photosensitive material, this type of magazine is usually provided with a tape (light-shielding ribbon) at the photosensitive material outlet port, which sandwiches the photosensitive material being pulled out from both sides.

However, in the case of the above-mentioned photosensitive material magazine, if the photosensitive material is a photosensitive material using microcapsules, the microcapsules in the photosensitive layer are removed by the telescope when pulled out from the window material cartridge. Applicant's experiments have confirmed that it is easily damaged.
