<Prior art and its problems> For example, in the case of solid painting for automobiles, painting and baking are performed on the substrate in the following order: electrodeposition coating → baking → intermediate coating → baking → top coating → baking. It is being said. As shown in FIG. 3, the coating film thus formed consists of three layers: an electrodeposition coating film 2, an intermediate coating film 3, and a top coating coating film 4 on a substrate 1. Here, the thicknesses of the electrodeposition coating film 2, intermediate coating 3, and top coating coating 4 are generally 15 μm, 30 μm, and 30 μm, respectively. Note that all film thicknesses are after drying.

<Means for solving the problem> The configuration of the present invention for achieving the above-mentioned object is characterized in that a re-topcoat paint film is formed on a topcoat paint film, the re-topcoat paint film having a lower or zero pigment content and a higher resin content than the topcoat paint film.

FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing the high-gloss coating structure according to this example, in which 1 is the substrate (steel plate), 2 is the electrodeposition coating film, 3 is the intermediate coating film, 4 is the top coating film, and 5 is the top coating film.
is the re-top coated film. Here, the re-top coating film 5 is formed by applying a re-top coating paint to a thickness of 30 μm and then baking it at 140 to 160°C for 15 to 30 minutes. The composition of the paint is shown below.

Re-top coating resin content (melamine/alkyd) 72% by weight Green pigment 1% by weight Blue pigment 1% by weight Black pigment 1% by weight or less Titanium (pigment) 1% by weight Solvent 25% by weight In this way, re-top coating paint is conventionally As is clear from the comparison with the composition of the top coat shown in the section,
It contains more resin and less pigment than top coat paint. At this time, the pigment used in the re-top coating should preferably have the same color and high affinity as the pigment in the top coating, but it is preferable to use the same pigment if possible. As a result, the color of the topcoat film is expressed through the re-topcoat film, giving a sense of depth to the color and creating a sense of luxury.

When forming such a re-top coat film, by water-sanding the expression of the top coat film, the surface of the re-top coat film can be brought close to a mirror surface.
It is possible to further increase the gloss. In this case, use water-resistant paper of #800 to #1000 (JIS
R 6253), sand the surface by 3 to 8 μm to make it smooth, then wash thoroughly with water and
This may be done by drying at 120°C for 10 to 15 minutes.

Although the above embodiments show examples of solid coating, the present invention can also be applied to metallic coating. An example is shown in FIG. 2, in which a re-top coating film 5 is formed on top coating film 4 consisting of top coating base 4a and top coating clear film 4b. In this case, the paint used for the re-top coating film 5 may be approximately the same as that used for the top-coat clear film 4b which does not contain pigments, but it is preferable to add some additives. An example of the composition of this re-top coating (clear) is shown below along with the composition of the top coat clear.

The higher the gloss is, the more the top coat film 5 is formed afterward. The film thickness at this time is, for example, 15μ for the top coat base 4a.
m, the top coat clear film 4b is 25 μm, and the re-top coat film 5 is 25 μm.

<Effects of the invention> As explained above in detail along with the examples, if the high-gloss coating structure of the invention is used, a high-gloss, high-class feeling can be obtained, and the paint film will have a sense of unevenness and durability. You will be able to feel the sensation. Furthermore, since the film is actually thicker, it becomes more resistant to scratches.
