Traditionally, furoshiki were made of square cloth and were used to wrap items, but as lifestyles changed and clothing became more Westernized, furoshiki were used to carry bags, bags, handbags, shopping bags, baskets, department stores, etc. They have been replaced by paper packaging bags and boxes for services such as shops, and the reality is that they are not used much these days, not only for Western clothing but also for Japanese clothing. However, furoshiki can be easily made by sewing around the periphery, it can be folded to make it smaller, and since it is made of cloth, it can be used over and over again, which are advantages that cannot be obtained with bags, bags, or paper packaging bags. There is. However, furoshiki also does not have a place to put items like bags, bags, bags, etc., so in order to hold items, you have to wrap them and tie the ends, which can cause the knots to wrinkle and damage the fabric. , and his appearance became worse.

る。 The following will be explained with reference to the drawings and examples:
The base fabric 1 may be made of silk, cotton, synthetic fibers, non-woven fabrics, or other materials conventionally used for wrapping cloths, as well as various flexible fabrics such as leather, fake leather, wool, knitted fabrics, or soft plastic films. It can be used to make a triangular sling by dividing a furoshiki-sized cloth diagonally into two, and depending on the material, the edges are folded in three, sewn together, beaded, or glued.
The longitudinal direction of this base fabric is the lower side, and the both sides 2 of the base fabric are arranged so as to overlap on the inside, and the lower ends are sewn or glued together to form a bottom part 3, and the predetermined parts of the folded parts are sewn and fixed. Alternatively, it is held in place 4 by a button, hook-and-loop fastener, etc. to form a bag-like part 5 inside, and the top side of the base fabric is folded over to cover the bag-like part. The depth and width of the bag-shaped portion can be changed depending on the amount of contact between the two sides. It is also good to create corrugations or notches on the edges of the base fabric, or create gears or tucks.
It is also possible to add lace or other trimmings.

The edges except the lower end are made with a beaded edge 6, and when sewing the edge pieces, a male version 7 of the hook-and-loop fastener is provided on the inside of the upper end at the same time, and a corresponding female version 8 of the hook-and-loop fastener is attached longer on the back of the bag-shaped portion. It is provided. Preferably, this female plate has a color that is not conspicuous with respect to the base fabric, or has a decorative role.

い。 The furoshiki of this invention is made like this,
Since you can put items in the bag-shaped part and wrap them, you can hold the items without tying the ends without sticking out or slipping off, so you can use it as a carry-on bag, handbag, or second bag, and it can be used with Western or Japanese clothing. It fits well and can be used coolly. When the item to be wrapped is small, place it inside the bag and wrap it around to hold it.
When it is large, a part of it is placed inside the bag-shaped part and used as a support, and the protruding part is wrapped, so it maintains stability and does not take up unnecessary bulk like bags and other bags. When not in use, it is shaped like a triangular sling and is about half the size of a traditional furoshiki.
Even when folded, it doesn't take up too much bulk, making it easy to put in your pocket or handbag. Also, since it is the size of a traditional rectangular furoshiki divided into two on the diagonal,
It is economical because it requires about half the amount of conventional cloth, and there is no waste of material, and it is easy to make because the base cloth can be formed by simply cutting the rectangular cloth diagonally.
Furthermore, since the top side of the base fabric is folded back to cover the bag-like part, the whole looks like a fuku, which goes well with Japanese clothes. No wrinkles or damage to the fabric due to knots.
