周面と、上記第一の周面と第二の周面との間の円
筒状空間内に設置された、円輪状で軸方向に亙つ
て着磁された永久磁石と、それぞれ円輪状に形成
され、上記永久磁石を挟む状態でこの永久磁石の
両面に固定された少なくとも1対のポールピース
と、少なくとも一方のポールピースの一方の周縁
と上記第一の周面との間のシール隙間に保持され
た磁性流体とから成る磁性流体シール装置に於い
て、上記1対のポールピースの他方の周縁の全周
若しくは円周方向少なくとも3個所位置を、上記
第二の周面に当接若しくは上記シール隙間よりも
十分に小さな隙間を介して対向させると共に、上
記第二の周面と上記永久磁石の周面との間にOリ
ングを設ける事により、上記永久磁石と上記第二
の周面との間のシールを図つた事を特徴とする磁
