This is as disclosed in the publication No. Conventional room temperature detection elements are fixed at a proper location in the main body of an air conditioner by means of a mounting bracket or the like at the time of shipment from a factory in a state where they are not intended to be removed. The fixed position is a position where there are few disturbance requirements and where the room temperature can be detected as appropriately as possible, and is often near the indoor circulating air intake.

FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram showing the mounting portion of the room temperature detection element, and FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram showing the operation of the room temperature detection element. The air conditioner of this embodiment includes a forced air supply/exhaust type combustor (not shown) using a gas heat source that functions for heating and a heat exchanger (not shown) that functions for cooling in a box-shaped main body 1. The working fluid passage of the cooling heat exchanger is connected to an outdoor unit (not shown) by piping, and is supplied with refrigerant. A hot air outlet 2 is provided at the front of the main body 1, and a cold air outlet 3 is provided at the center of the upper surface of the main body 1.
An indoor air intake port 4 is provided at the bottom of the unit. Indoor air sucked in through the intake port 4 receives heat from combustion in the combustor during heating and is blown out as warm air into the room from the warm air outlet 2, and during cooling, it is cooled by a cooling heat exchanger and sent to the cold air outlet. From 3 onwards, the air is blown into the room. The cold air outlet 3 has a rectangular opening on the front side of the upper surface of the main body 1, and a vane 5 is attached thereto as shown in FIG. The vane 5 is a lid that closes the cold air outlet 3 when not needed, opens the cold air outlet 3 during cooling operation, and is a functional component that swings within a predetermined range to change the direction of the cold air outlet. At the bottom of the main body 1, that is, near the intake port 4, a thermistor 8, which serves as a room temperature detection element, is temporarily fixed to a crank-shaped metal fitting 6 with a holding metal fitting 7. The lead wire 9 of this thermistor 8 is set long in advance, and the thermistor 8 is
movement is possible. The holding fitting 7 that attaches the thermistor 8 to the fitting 6 can be removed from the fitting 6 together with the thermistor 8 by removing the screw 10 to the fitting 6. The screw 10 is mounted forward through the leg of the main body 1 through a gap on the bottom side so that it can be removed and installed by operating from the front.

As a result, even if the initial position of the thermistor 8 becomes inappropriate due to the circumstances of the installation location, the thermistor 8 can be reattached to the most convenient position for detecting the room temperature within the range where the lead wire 10 extends, and the correct temperature can be detected. Appropriate driving will be done based on information.
