おいては害虫の幼虫及び蛹期は水表面に生息しているが
、害虫駆除の薬量設定については浄化槽全体の水量によ
り設定するので多量に害虫防除成分を投入しなければな
らないので環境への影響も大きかった。さらに浄化槽に
おける曝気槽の好気性分解部分では害虫防除成分として
の殺虫成分またはその分解物の濃度が高いと浄化微生物
への影響が生じて、浄化機能を阻害する可能性が高かっ
た。

せる方法として、浄化槽表面に害虫防除成分を含有した
持続性の泡剤を散布し、泡膜をつくることにより少量の
害虫防除成分の供給で浄化槽の害虫を防除する方法を完
成した。さらに実用上は、浄化槽の水面及び表面にある
汚泥にいる害虫は、上記方法により防除できるので、個
体数は減少していくのであるが、すでに羽化して飛翔し
ている成虫に関しては、上記方法で処理した泡膜上で接
触する以外は害虫防除成分を取り込む機会はなく、防除
効率がよくない。そのため、浄化槽上部空間に液状の害
虫防除成分を噴霧する噴霧処理を一次的に併用供給する
事により成虫を駆除して成長のサイクルを断ち、薬剤の
速効性をあげ、安定して長時間害虫を防除しうることを
見出し、この知見に基づいて本発明を完成した。すなわ
ち本発明は害虫防除成分を含有した持続性の泡剤を浄化
槽の水面及び表面にある汚泥に散布することを特徴とす
る浄化槽に発生する害虫の防除方法、及び害虫防除成分
を含有した持続性の泡剤を浄化槽の水面及び表面にある
汚泥に散布すると共に液状の害虫防除成分を噴霧処理す
ることを特徴とする浄化槽に発生する害虫の防除方法を
提供するものである。

制的に吸引し泡状にして散布するか、噴射剤と共に耐圧
容器に封入したエアゾールも用いる事ができる。持続性
の泡を作る方法として、起泡剤に高級脂肪酸及び/又は
高級アルコールあるいはこれらのアルカノールアミン塩
を配合することによって、非水溶性の被覆膜を形成する
方法がある。高級脂肪酸および高級アルコールはラウリ
ン酸,ミリスチン酸,ステアリン酸,ラウリルアルコー
ル,ミリスチルアルコールなどの炭素数は10以上であ
る事が良い。害虫防除成分は特に制限するものではなく
、望ましくはディフルベンズロン,クロルフルアズロン
,ピリプロキシフェンなどの昆虫成長制御剤とフェニト
ロチオン,フェンチオン,などの有機燐系殺虫剤かペル
メトリン,フェノトリンなどのピレスロイド系殺虫剤の
併用が挙げられる。また本発明の液状の害虫防除成分は
浄化槽上部空間によく分散させるために粒子の細かい噴
霧がよく、ULV噴霧器などを用いる事ができる。また
、エアゾールで1秒当り1ml〜 2.5mlの噴射と
倒立使用のできる構造のベーパータップバルブあるいは
連続噴射のできるバルブを用いることができる。液状の
害虫防除成分としては有機燐系殺虫剤(フェニトロチオ
ン,フェノトリン,クロロピリフォスメチル等)、カー
バメイト系殺虫剤(カルバリル,プロポクスル等)、ピ
レスロイド系殺虫剤(天然ピレトリン,ペルメトリン,
フェノトリン,アレスリン,レスメトリン,フェンバレ
レート等)を用いることができる。

分を発生場所の上部空間に処理する方法を組合せること
により害虫の発生を長期間安定して抑えることができ、
幅広い浄化槽管理が出来るようになった。
