空隙内に雨水や地下水等が浸入し、凍結、凍上を繰り返
すため、旧保護体の風化が早められるのである。そこで
、数年間のサイクルで旧保護体を補修する必要がある。
従来の補修方法は、次の工程により行われる。■先ず、
旧保護体に切れ目を入れて金網や鉄筋等を切断する。■
次に、旧保護体のモルタル類をはつり取り、廃棄する。
■露出した地山を切削して、整地する。■新たな法面保

の安定化を目的として施工された旧法面保護体の補修方
法において、旧法面保護体の表面から地山側に向けて削
孔し、旧法面保護体と地山との間に介在する空隙まで貫
通させ、この貫通孔から空隙内に充填材を充填した後、
旧法面保護体の上から新たに法面保護工を施すことを特
