Generally, a door lock device operates a dead bolt to lock or unlock a door. In conventional devices of this kind, the dead bolt is activated by a switch or key operation, or information is electrically or optically read from a card on which information has been written using static electricity or punching. A card reader system was used to activate the dead bolt accordingly. However, the former method has problems such as the wiring from the switch to the lock device being complicated and the key mechanism becoming complicated and large. On the other hand, the latter card reader method has problems compared to the former method. It has the advantage of being simple and compact in structure, but due to the method of writing information, it is not possible to store a large amount of information on one card. Since the dead bolt is operated using rough information, it becomes difficult to detect many different keys, and there is a risk of malfunction due to different cards.

Recently, however, magnetic card type card readers have been developed, in which magnetic tape with information written on it is attached to the card, or magnetic material is printed on the card, and information is read from the magnetic card using a magnetic head. Various types of magnetic card readers have been developed and are now commercially available, and it is conceivable that the above-mentioned door lock device may also use this magnetic card type card reader. Since this information can be written on one card and read, it is expected that malfunctions caused by different cards can be prevented.

However, in order to accurately read a large amount of information, this magnetic card type card reader requires close contact and consistency between the magnetic head and the card.
That is, in this type of card reader, when reading information, it is necessary to keep the magnetic tape and magnetic head in close contact with each other and stroke the card. Further, as shown in FIG.
Information is written in a striped pattern arranged in the length direction of the tape. Therefore, when reading information, the magnetic head 8 and the magnetic tape 13 are arranged so that the magnetic gap 8a and the stripes are always parallel to each other. , that is, it is necessary to align and contact.

In the conventional magnetic card type card reader, as shown in FIG. 4, a guide slit 15a having a length approximately twice the length of the card is formed in the reader body 15 containing the magnetic head. Therefore, the stroke of the card is guided to ensure close contact and consistency between the magnetic head and the card.

However, in this conventional card reader, since the reader body is long, a large installation area is required when attaching it to a door. Also, since the height of the reader body is high, the reader body is attached to the door plate surface. As a result, there is a risk that the reader body may be damaged by colliding with luggage or the like, and it is also aesthetically undesirable.

In view of the above-mentioned problems, the object of this invention is to provide a card reader for a door lock device that requires less installation area and can ensure the beauty of the door.

In the card reader for a door lock device according to this invention, since the reader main body is integrally provided in the handle part of the lever handle or the rotating shaft part, there is no need for a dedicated space for installing the card reader, and the handle part And since both guide surfaces of the reader body serve as guide surfaces for the bottom side of the card,
This guide surface ensures alignment between the magnetic head and the card, and by appropriately setting the spacing between the half casings, the adhesion between the magnetic head and the card is ensured, ensuring consistency and adhesion. There is no need to make the reader itself large in order to ensure this.

The outer surface 3c is formed flat and serves as a guide surface for guiding the magnetic card 12, and the handle portion 3a has a pair of half-housing portions 4a facing each other at a predetermined distance from each other at the tip thereof. 4b is integrally formed, and a guide slit 5 is formed between the half-casing parts 4a and 4b, into which a magnetic card 12 is inserted and guided. The card insertion guide surface 6 is formed so as to be smoothly continuous with the guide slit 5 and the distance between the two becomes wider toward the outside, that is, in a so-called tulip shape, thereby guiding the insertion of the card 12 into the guide slit 5. It's becoming like that. Further, a guide surface 7 for guiding the stroke of the card 12 is formed flush with the guide surface 3c of the handle portion 3a in a portion between the half-casing portions 4a and 4b of the handle portion 3a of the lever handle 3.

In order to operate the locking device, the magnetic card 12 can be held in the hand, placed against the guide surface 3c of the handle portion 3a, and inserted into the guide slit 5 (see arrow A in FIG. 1). Then, this card 12 strokes inside the guide slit 5 with its lower side in contact with the guide surfaces 3c and 7, and this card 12 touches the magnetic head 8 and the leaf spring 10.
When the card passes between the card 12 and the magnetic head 8, the activation switch is first turned ON and the card reader is activated. The magnetic tape 13 of the card 12 and the magnetic head 8 are brought into close contact with each other by the biasing force of the leaf spring 10, and the information on the magnetic tape 13 is read. is read and input into the locking device, which causes the locking device to lock or unlock the door. In this case,
Since a waiting time is required from turning on the start switch to starting up, it is necessary to provide a so-called play at the beginning of reading the magnetic tape 13.

In the above embodiment, the entire outer surface of the handle portion of the lever handle is made into a flat guide surface. Instead of a surface, it may be a concave guide surface. Moreover, the half-casing part is not formed integrally with the handle part of the lever handle, but may be formed separately in advance and fixed to the handle part. Furthermore, the attachment position of the reader body may be not on the outer surface of the handle portion of the lever handle but on the upper surface of the handle portion.

Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the half-casing portion of the reader body is L.
Although the half-casing portion is provided at the tip of the handle portion of the letter-shaped lever handle, the half-casing portion may be provided at any arbitrary position on the handle portion or at the rotating shaft portion. Also, the lever handle is not L-shaped,
Other shapes, such as T-shape, may also be used.If the lever handle is T-shaped, if the half-casing of the reader main body is provided in the center of the handle, it can be accessed from either the left or right side of the half-casing. Cards can be inserted, which is very convenient.

As described above, according to the card reader for a door lock device according to the present invention, a flat or concave guide surface is formed on the handle portion of the lever handle, and the reader body is connected to the handle portion of the door lever handle or the rotating shaft. Since the device is configured with a pair of half-housing portions formed at a predetermined distance apart from each other, and a guide surface flush with the guide surface of the lever handle, a separate space for mounting the card reader is provided. This is not necessary and has the effect of improving durability, reliability, and the beauty of the door.
