を示す概略図、第２図はその炉体開口径調整用装
置の構成例を示す斜視図、第３図は従来のガラス
棒延伸用加熱炉の構造を示す概略図である。 図中、１は送りチヤツク（把持装置）、２は送
り棒、３は被延伸体（被延伸ガラス棒）、４は外
径測定器、５は炉体上部開口径調整装置、６は挿
入口、７は引出す棒、８は加熱炉、９は発熱体、
１０は引出し口、１２は炉体下部開口径調整装置
、１３は自動開閉引出しチヤツク（把持装置）、
１４はチヤツク送出しネジ、１５は減速機、１６
はチヤツク送出し用モータ、１８は送りチヤツク
送り量測定器、１９は自動開閉引出しチヤツク送
り量測定器、２０は絞り羽根押え、２１は絞り羽
根、２２は歯車付き羽根駆動リング、２３は歯車
、２４は開口径調整用モータ、２５は閉止蓋、２
６はシール蓋、２７はガス排出口、２８は下蓋を
示す。

Claims (1)
- 外径が部分的に異なる被延伸ガラス棒をその両
端を把持装置で把持して加熱炉に挿入し延伸する
ガラス棒延伸装置において、上記２つの把持装置
のうち少なくとも一方は自動的な開閉把持が可能
に構成し、上記加熱炉の挿入口側上方には前記被
延伸ガラス棒の外径測定器を設け、前記加熱炉の
上下の挿入口及び引出し口には、前記外径測定器
による測定結果に従い、被延伸ガラス棒の外径と
の間の隙間が最小となるように開口径を自動的に
調整する開口径調整装置を設けたことを特徴とす
るガラス棒延伸装置。
