【考案の詳細な説明】
最近、ゴルフクラブ用ウツドヘツドの反発力を
向上させるために、ヘツド本体の材質を木質材料
から金属もしくは、炭素繊維強化樹脂等に替えた
ものが種々考案されて来た。しかし、金属材料及
び炭素繊維強化樹脂は比重が大きく、これから成
るヘツドを木質材料から成るものと同一重量に仕
上げるためには、ヘツド本体の大きさを縮小する
か、ヘツド内部のくりぬき容積を増加させる必要
がある。しかし、クラブヘツドの大きさを縮小さ
せることは、プレーヤーの打球への不安感を増長
させるという逆効果につながるし、また、ヘツド
内部のくりぬき容積を増加させることは、ヘツド
本体の肉厚を充分に確保できず、強度面に問題が
生ずるとともに、打球音に対する快感が得られな

できる適度な比重を有する材質の開発に成功し、

計とすることも可能なため、ふりぬきの容易な扱
いやすいクラブとすることができる。本考案にお
けるヘツド外層4は、マイクロバルーンを含まな
い炭素繊維織物強化樹脂から成り、厚さは0.2〜
3mm程度とする。このような外層を設けることに
より、ヘツド外層の炭素繊維密度を高め、強度増
加を図り、耐久力を向上させるとともに外観上の
