【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 乾式一成分現像剤を現像剤補給部材により
現像剤担持体表面上に補給し、かく補給された現
像剤を前記現像剤担持体表面に先端を摺擦するよ
うに圧接される所定幅の現像剤規制部材を用いて
均一薄層状になして、潜像担持体上の潜像の現像
を行う現像装置において、前記補給部材が中央部
で逆向きになる螺旋状の溝を備え、現像剤担持体
が1回転する間にその表面上のすべての点が少く
とも1回以上補給部材の各溝と当接するように前
記螺旋状の溝のピツチが選択されていることを特
徴とする現像装置。 (2) 前記補給部材に設ける溝の深さが、現像剤
担持体との当接凹み量以下であり、かつ現像剤の
粒径の4倍以上であることを特徴とする請求項1
に記載の現像装置。 (3) 前記補給部材に設けた螺旋状の溝が、現像
剤担持体との当接圧により開く深さの切込みによ
り形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は
