Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) A pair of support members whose outer peripheries engage with inner peripheries on both ends of a drum-shaped image carrier to position the image carrier at a rotational position; means for moving the one support member in the axial direction so that the support member can be freely engaged with and disengaged from the inner circumferential portion; an image carrier moving means that, when moved, moves the image carrier along the axial direction to a detachment position where the image carrier is removed from the other supporting member in conjunction with the movement;
An image forming apparatus comprising: an image carrier receiving part that receives an image carrier moved to a detaching position at a lower level. (2) The image carrier receiving portion is an end block portion of a transfer/separation charger provided below the image carrier, and the image carrier is supported in the axial direction and in a direction orthogonal to that direction at the end block portion. The image forming apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the image forming apparatus is configured to perform positioning.
