【考案の詳細な説明】
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本考案は金属溶湯から直接薄帯(テープ)を製
造する片ロール又は双ロール装置の改良に関し、

一般に金属溶湯から直接薄帯を製造する装置と

る。片ロール装置は第3図に示すように、矢印方
向に回転する1個の冷却ロール1上に、周囲に高
周波コイルのような加熱装置2と下端にノズル4
を設けたルツボ3を配置しルツボ3内に保持した
溶湯5をノズル4より回転する冷却ロール1上に
噴出させ、溶湯5を直接薄帯6に凝固させるもの
である。また双ロール装置は第4図に示すよう
に、対向して矢印方向に回転する左右1対の冷却
ロール1a,1bの対向部上に、周囲に加熱装置
2と下端にノズル4を設けたルツボ3を配置し、
ルツボ3内に保持した溶湯5をノズル4より冷却
ロール1a,1bの対向部間に噴出させ、溶湯5
を直接薄帯に凝固させるものである。

があり、特にロール表面に異物が付着するとその
部分の薄帯に孔があいたり、大きな窪みを生ずる
ことが知られている、。そこで従来はロール面を
極力平滑に仕上げると共にロール面の付着物を除
去するため、第5図に示すように冷却ロール1の
表面の任意な位置に、冷却ロール1の回転方向と
逆方向に回転するブラシ7を接動している。ブラ
シ材質としてはロール表面を傷つけないもの、例
えばプラスチツク製又はこれに研磨材を含ませた

ル表面の付着物を残すことなく連続的に清掃する
ことができる金属薄帯製造装置を開発したもの
で、金属溶湯を回転する冷却ロール上に噴出して
直接薄帯状に凝固させる片ロール又は双ロール装
置において、回転する冷却ロールの一部表面に清
掃ベルトをロールの回転方向と逆方向に接動させ
ることを特徴とするものである。

即ち本考案装置は第1図に示すように冷却ロール
1の表面の任意な位置に、オープンリール式ベル
ト8aをパウダーブレーキ軸9に取付けたリール
より繰出し、プレツシヤーロール10a,10b
と冷却ロール1間を通し、モータ駆動軸11に取
付けた巻取りロールに巻取ることにより、ベルト
8aを冷却ロール1面に押し当てた状態でロール
1の回転方向と逆方向に移行させる。又は第2図
に示すように冷却ロール1の表面の任意な位置
に、エンドレスベルト8aをプレツシヤーロール
10a,10bとテンシヨンロール12及びモー
タ駆動軸11により押し当て、ロール11の回転
方向と逆方向に移行させる。尚図において、2は
加熱装置、3はルツボ、4はノズル、5は溶湯、

第1図に示す本考案装置を用いてPb−15wt%
Sn半田テープ(巾40mm、厚さ25μ)を3Kg製造し
た。冷却ロールには直径350mmの鉄系ロールを用
い、水冷した。またベルトには巾50mm、厚さ2mm
のバフ研磨布を用い、移行速度を20mm/secとし
た。

100mmとしたが、それを20mm程度に縮めても、ま
た100mm以上と長くしても、その効果が変わらな

に回転させた。その結果表面性状の優れた半田テ
ープが得られたが、途中からテープの表面性状
(ロール側)が次第に悪化し、一部に貫通した穴
