The high temperature during use causes seizure between fireproof members or seizure between metal fittings and fireproof members, so if some of the members are damaged during use, it is difficult to replace only the damaged parts.

つた。 Therefore, the present applicant has improved the conventional so-called preform packing, and has created continuous protrusions parallel to the installation surface on part or all of the surface of the packing material, which is fire-resistant, flexible and compressible under pressure. We proposed a fire-resistant packing material (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 62-259663) with However, especially at the joint between the slide valve and the collector nozzle, erosion caused by air entrainment or intrusion of molten steel sometimes became a problem.

After much research and development, we were able to complete this invention.

109550) may be used. 2 is a slide plate, and 3 is a collector nozzle set under it. Generally, the general shape of the refractory packing material 1 is such that the vertical section is slightly tapered so that it is sandwiched between the slide plate 2 and the collector nozzle 3, and the outer diameter of the upper side is 170 mm, and the wall thickness is 170 mm. Approximately 5 mm, outer diameter of the lower side is approximately 130 mm, and height is approximately 40 mm. Numerals 4 and 5 are ring-shaped protrusions provided on the outer surface of the ring, and generally three protrusions provide the best sealing effect, and numeral 4 is the upper two slightly smaller semicircular protrusions with a radius of about 3 mm; 5 is the lowest protrusion, and its size is preferably about twice the cross section of protrusion 4. This is because if it is less than 2 times, it will not expand sufficiently when pressed and deformed, so the sealing effect will be low, and if it is more than 2 times, it will be too much and will not deform evenly, causing air entrainment. .

縮できる。 When fitting a fireproof member through a fireproof packing material, the protrusions of the packing material are deformed, but this deformability is possible even under pressure that does not cause deformation of the packing material itself, so the refractory member Even if there is a slight inclination during bonding, it can absorb the stress deviation and achieve a perfect seal. In addition, the application range of mounting pressure can be widened, air seal failure and steel leakage accidents due to inability to be mounted can be prevented, and the fitting work can be easily performed and the working time can be greatly shortened.

などのトラブルを完全に解消できる。 Note that among the protrusions, those with a large cross section are deformed and expanded over a considerably wider area when pressed by a nozzle or the like, compared to other small protrusions. Therefore, even if the gaps between the joints are not uniform, the gap will evenly spread through the gaps, completely blocking air entrainment and completely eliminating problems such as abnormal melting damage caused by the intrusion of molten steel.
