and when automatic reception is performed, the operations are the same when going off-hook before detecting a significant signal from the other party's device. This behavior ignores off-hook,
There are cases where reception continues. Another operation is when an off-hook condition is detected, the line is returned to the telephone side and a conversation is established.

For this reason, in the case of a telephone call, it is preferable to enter the telephone conversation state by going off-hook. Further, during remote reception, since the operator selects communication based on his/her intention to communicate, it is preferable to continue communication regardless of the hook state. In particular, in the case of an off-hook state after the operation for switching to remote reception is completed, a problem occurs in that the line returns to the telephone side again after switching to reception.

It is equipped with means for making calls or data communications. As a result, data communication can be reliably performed during remote communication, and moreover, call and data communication can be arbitrarily selected during automatic communication.

When remote reception is selected, the CED signal is monitored to notify the operator of the transition to remote reception. After shifting to remote reception, the reception operation continues even if off-hook. Furthermore, when automatic reception is selected, signals on the line are monitored until a significant signal is detected from the other party's device. After detecting a significant signal from the other party's machine, turn off the monitor. Further, if the telephone goes off-hook before detecting a significant signal from the other party's device, the line returns to the telephone side, and after detecting a significant signal from the other party's device, the receiving operation continues even if the telephone goes off-hook.
