剤が知られている。植物系のスクラブ剤であるクルミの
殻なども利用されていたが、皮膚を傷つける危険がある
という問題が指摘されている。特に近年氷河系石灰岩か
ら得られる軽質炭酸カルシウム（カルサイト）が着目さ
れ利用されている。特開昭６３−１５２３０７号にはそ
のような材料を利用したスクラブ剤およびその製造方法
が示されている。この軽質炭酸カルシウムを用いたスク
ラブ剤を洗顔または入浴の際に２〜３分スクラブ（マッ
サージするようにしてこすって洗い落とす）し、その後
に少量の石けんか普段使用しているクレンジングクリー
