[Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a fluidized bed heating furnace, and particularly to a fluidized bed heating furnace that can be downsized by improving energy efficiency. [Prior Art] Fluidized bed devices using a fluidized medium as a catalyst or heating medium are well known and used in many fields. There are also various methods for supplying the fluid medium, circulation method, heating method, etc. For example, the overwhelming majority of fluidized bed heating furnaces use sand as a heat medium. However, when sand is used as a heat medium, it is necessary to form a stable fluidized bed in order to strictly control the temperature of the fluidized bed. Therefore,
It is necessary to control the particle size distribution and density of sand as a fluidizing medium. [Problems to be solved by the invention] In these fluidized bed heating furnaces, it is often necessary to strictly control the temperature of the fluidized medium inside the furnace, which makes the heating furnace large and requires energy consumption. Efficiency also tends to decrease. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention solves the above problems and provides a fluidized bed heating furnace that improves the energy efficiency of the heating furnace and makes it possible to downsize the apparatus. The fluidized bed heating furnace of the present invention uses carbon beads coated with SiC and having a substantially uniform particle size as a fluidizing medium. [Function] Carbon beads have high thermal conductivity. Light and easy to fluidize. Uniform, spherical particles with uniform particle sizes can be obtained. Because of these features, compared to those using other fluidized media, energy efficiency is higher, temperature control is easier, and a fluidized bed with a uniform temperature can be formed. Moreover, the surface of carbon beads like this
Because it is coated with SiC, it becomes a fluid medium with extremely high heat-resistant stability and strength, and can be used at high temperatures. In addition, SiC has high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and extremely high corrosion resistance, making it a fluid medium with excellent durability. [Embodiments] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is an enlarged sectional view showing a fluidized medium used in the fluidized bed heating furnace of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the fluidized medium 1 used in the fluidized bed heating furnace of the present invention is applied to the surface of carbon beads 2.
A coating film 3 of SiC is formed thereon. The particle size of the carbon beads 2 serving as the base material is not particularly limited, and is appropriately determined depending on the configuration and scale of the heating furnace. Generally, the particle size of carbon beads 2 is 60
It is assumed that the particle size is approximately 5000 μm and that the particle size is uniform. There is no particular limit to the thickness of the SiC coating film 3 that covers the carbon beads 2, but if it is too thin, the improvement effect of SiC on properties such as heat resistance may not be sufficient, and if it is too thick, the problem of film peeling may occur. There is. Therefore, the thickness of the SiC coating film 3 is generally about 1 to 50 μm. Such SiC-coated carbon beads can be easily produced by a method such as adjusting the particle size of commonly provided carbon beads and then applying SiC coating to the particles. Although there are no particular restrictions on the SiC coating method, it is preferable to employ the CVD method because it can form a coating film that is dense and has extremely excellent properties. For forming SiC coating film by CVD method,
First, carbon beads are heated to a precipitation temperature range for CVD reactions. Next, a CVD reaction gas is supplied to the surface of the heated carbon beads to cause a CVD reaction, and SiC is deposited on the surface of the carbon beads.
The amount of SiC deposited can be easily adjusted by adjusting the supply amount or heating time of the CVD reaction gas. Note that the smaller the SiC particle size forming the coating film, the denser the SiC coating film becomes, and the better the heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and abrasion resistance. Similarly, the smaller the porosity, the better, and the lower the impurity content, the better the characteristics of SiC will be exhibited, resulting in an excellent coating film. For this reason, in the present invention, it is preferable that the SiC coating layer formed has a constituent SiC particle diameter of 1.0 μm or less and a porosity of 0.5% or less.
In addition, as impurities, Fe is 5ppm or less, Na is
It is preferable that Ca is 2 ppm or less, and Ca is 5 ppm or less. In addition, SiC can be thermally decomposed by CVD reaction of CVD raw material gas such as CH 3 SiC 3 or SiC 4 /CH 4 , for example, CH 3 SiC 3 → SiC + 3HC or reduction of metal halide, for example, SiC 4 + CH 4 → SiC + 4HC. Precipitates in reaction. Other CVD source gases include the following: SiH 4 /CH 4 SiH 4 /C 2 H 4 SiH 4 /C 3 H 8 SiC 4 /CC 4 SiC 4 /C 3 H 8 (CH 3 ) 2 SiC 2The fluidized bed heating furnace of this invention uses SiC
Other than the use of coated carbon beads, the other configuration may be the same as that of a conventional fluidized bed heating furnace. Therefore, its energy efficiency is significantly higher than that of conventional convection heating furnaces such as Topso furnaces and Fosterweiler furnaces, and it is possible to miniaturize the apparatus. An experimental example will be explained below. Experimental example 1 Carbon beads whose particle size was adjusted almost uniformly to 500 μm were placed in a sealed container and heated using an external heating method.

Supply CH 4 /H 2 to the entire surface of carbon beads.
After the CVD reaction precipitate SiC was deposited, the gas supply was stopped. The resulting SiC coating film thickness is
The SiC particle size was 0.5 μm, the porosity was 0.5% or less, and the total amount of metal impurities was 10 ppm or less. Using the SiC-coated carbon beads thus produced as a fluidized medium, steam reforming was performed in a fluidized bed heating furnace with the following specifications. The energy efficiency at this time was determined by the following method and compared with that of a conventional method using sand as a fluidizing medium. The results are shown in Table 1. [Effects of the invention] As detailed above, the fluidized bed heating furnace of the invention uses SiC coated carbon beads as the fluidizing medium, and has extremely high energy efficiency. Therefore, it is possible to downsize the device. A fluidized bed with uniform temperature can be formed. Temperature control is easy. The fluid medium has extremely high temperature stability and durability. It has the following effects and is extremely useful industrially.
