Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 （産業上の利用分野） 本発明は、予め半導体チップを搭載した基板に配線を施
し、これに抵抗、コンデンサ等を接続する、一般にチッ
プ中オン・ボード（ｃｈ　ｉｐ　ｏｎ　ｂｏａｒｄ　）
として知られる半導体装置において、その配線に使用さ
れる半田ペーストのような導電性物体を基板に印刷する
ためのマスクに関するものである。
（従来の技術） 金属細線の織物に樹脂を塗布し、印刷用の導電性物体を
通過させるために必要な部分の樹脂を取り除いた孔又は
溝を有するマスクを使用し、この孔又は溝を経て基板に
導電性物体を印刷してい念。
（発明が解決しようとする課題） 前述のような孔又は溝を形成するとき、その部分に金属
細線が残り、導電性物体の通過を妨害していた。また、
基板の表面は、それに搭載されたチップによる突起のた
め、平面とはならずマスクが基板に密着しないため印刷
用の導電性物体のパターンが正確に形成されなかっ九− （課題を解決するための手段） 印刷用の導電性物体を通過させるため透孔と基板上の突
起に対応する位置に空所とを設けた薄板に、前記の導電
性物体を通過させるための透孔を有する柔軟性のあるシ
ートを、前記のそれぞれの透孔が対応するように貼りつ
けた。
（作用） 以上のようにして構成されたマスクは、印刷用の導電性
物体を通過させるための透孔に、金属細線が残らないか
ら、印刷用の導電性物体が完全に基板上に印刷される。
また、基板上の突起に対応する位置の薄板には透孔が設
けられているから、突起はこの位置に入りマスクと基板
は密着する。
もし薄板の厚さより厚い突起があっても、柔軟性のある
シートは適宜伸張して、マスクと基板は密着させること
ができる。予めこの突起の予定位置を膨出させておくこ
ともできる。
（実施例う 第１図は本発明の一実施例の略断面図である。
図面において、柔軟性のある例えばプラスチックのシー
ト１には、半田ペーストのような印刷用の導電性物体を
通過させるため透孔２が穿設されている。このシート１
の下面には、例えば金属製の薄板３が貼りつけられ、図
示されてｂないが、基板上に取シ付けられたチップのよ
うな突起物に対応する位置に、突起物のための空所４が
設けられており、前記のシート１に設けられた印刷用の
導電性物体を通過させるための透孔２に対応する位置に
は、透孔５が穿設されている。この透孔５は、薄板３を
エツチング加工して得られる。
この薄板３０下面に、例えばチップを搭載した基板を密
着させ、シート１の透孔２及び薄板３の透孔５を経由し
て、半田ペーストを基板に印刷する。このときチップは
薄板３の凹所４内に入るから、マスクと基板との密着は
妨害されなハ。チップの厚さが薄板３の厚さよりも大き
い場合も、ある程度はシート１の柔軟性だより回避され
る。シートｌを図のように若干膨出させておくこともで
きる。
（発明の効果） 本発明は以上のような構造であるから、部品を搭載した
基板の表面の突起に関係なく、印刷マスクを基板に密着
させて、半田ペーストのような導電性物体を基板上に確
実に印刷することができる。

  1. １．印刷用の導電性物体を通過させるための透孔と基板
    上の突起に対応する位置に空所とを設けた薄板に、前記
    の導電性物体を通過させるための透孔を有する柔軟性の
    シートを、それぞれの透孔が対応するように貼り付けた
    印刷用マスク
