(Prior art) When transmitting information using an optical fiber line, on the transmitting side, light emitted from a light emitting element that converts an electrical signal into an optical signal is coupled to the optical fiber line, and on the receiving side, the optical signal is transmitted through the optical fiber. The light is coupled to a light receiving element and converted into an electrical signal. In this case, for example, a light emitting/receiving connector as shown in FIG. 1 is used.

This connector includes a ferrule 2 with a support flange that holds an optical fiber 1 in the center, a coil spring 4 that supports the ferrule in a body 3, and a spring support sleeve 5.
A light emitting/receiving part A consisting of a light emitting or receiving element fixed in the body 6 so that the light emitting surface or the light receiving surface is exposed by the converting part B, that is, the window 6a.
It consists of a conversion section B consisting of an electric conversion element 7. Then, by inserting the ferrule 2 into the sleeve 6b of the body 6 as shown, the exposed end surface 1a of the optical fiber 1 and the light emitting or light receiving end surface 7a of the photoelectric conversion element 7 are maintained at a uniform close distance. The electrical system and optical system are connected by facing each other.

(Problems with the prior art) However, in the conventional structure of the converter B,
Not only is it difficult to fix the body 6 within the housing 8, but insufficient fixation may impede heat dissipation generated in the conversion element 7, and furthermore, the shielding may be insufficient. That is, in this converter B,
A metal housing is constructed by fitting cylindrical metal fixing sleeves 9 and 10 into the outer periphery of the insertion sleeve 6b of the ferrule 2 of the metal body 6 that houses and fixes the conversion element 7, and the conversion element housing sleeve 6c. 8, the end of the fixing sleeve 9 is held by the bent portion 8a of the housing 8, and the other end 8b of the housing is caulked by the holding protrusion 6d of the body 6, thereby fixing the body 6. It is being done.

However, with this structure, the fixing sleeves 9 and 10 tend to rattle within the housing 8 due to the return of the caulked end 8b of the housing 8 during caulking. Therefore, it is difficult to fix the body 6 within the housing 8 so that it does not move. Moreover, along with this, gaps are formed between the fixing sleeves 9 and 10 and the body 6 and furthermore the housing 8. Therefore, even if the photoelectric conversion element 7 is well thermally and electrically connected to the body 6, dissipation of the heat generated in the conversion element 7 to the external atmosphere is inhibited, and the continuity of the ground circuit is unstable or As the resistance grows,
The shielding effect of external noise may be impaired.

(Means and effects for solving the problem) Fig. 2 is a sectional view of essential parts showing an embodiment of the present invention (the same reference numerals as in Fig. 1 indicate the same parts), and Fig. 3 is a fixing spring plate. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of one embodiment of the invention. The present invention is characterized in that, as shown in FIG. A metal spring plate 6 is interposed between the housing 8 and the end surface 6e of the element housing sleeve 6c, and the housing 8 is fixed by caulking one end 8b.

That is, as shown in FIG. 3, a reinforcing portion 11b is provided by bending the outer peripheral edge of the annular plate 11a, and a plurality of (four in the figure) spring force generating tongues are integrally provided on the inner peripheral edge. Insert ferrule 11c into sleeve 6b
The reinforcing portion 1 is inserted so as to form a sleeve insertion hole 11d.

and the end surface 9a of the fixing sleeve 9. Note that when the tongue piece 11c is bent and its height is lowered by caulking one end of the housing 8, the reinforcing part 11b abuts against the end surface 6e of the sleeve 6b, and the sleeve is made so that the bending of the tongue piece 11c is not inhibited. There is a notch 6 on the shoulder of 6b as shown in Figure 2.

In this way, when the one end 8b of the housing 8 is caulked, the fixing sleeve 9 pushes the spring plate 11 as the caulking progresses, causing a spring force to be generated in the tongue piece 11c. As a result, even if the caulked end 8b returns, the resulting backlash in the direction of the central axis of the body 6 of the fixing sleeve 9 is immediately compensated for by the return of the tongue piece 11c.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the present invention compensates for the return of the caulking of the housing by the return of the tongue piece 11c of the spring plate. Therefore, the body 6 is securely fixed in the housing 8 via the fixing sleeves 9 and 10 without any play, so when the ferrule 2 of the light emitting/receiving section A is inserted into the sleeve 6a of the converting section B. , body 6 does not move. Also, the fixing sleeves 9, 10
The body 6 and the housing 8 are pressed into contact with each other by the spring force generated on the spring plate 11 by caulking, so that the electrical and thermal connection between the housing 8 and the body 6 is good, and a shielding effect is achieved. The heat dissipation effect of the conversion element 7 can be fully exhibited. The drawbacks of conventional connectors are therefore eliminated.
