Therefore, these wood extract components have traditionally been removed using hot water, alcohol, and various other organic solvents, but it is difficult to remove these processing solutions after the extraction process, and the removal effect is not sufficient. It wasn't.

However, these methods have not been fully utilized as industrial methods because they cause problems such as difficulty in repurposing difficult-to-inject materials and the production of a large number of defective products.

The inventors have discovered that these problems can be solved and have arrived at the present invention. That is, the present invention is a method for producing a decorative material, which is characterized in that a wood material is treated with an aqueous surfactant solution in advance before injecting a synthetic resin liquid.

The Combination technique not only improves the physical properties of wood such as abrasion resistance, water resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, crack resistance, and rot and insect resistance, but also improves the design and color tone. Since it is also important to improve the physical properties of wood, it is essential to uniformly inject the synthetic resin liquid into the wood. Examples of the synthetic resin liquid used in the injection of the present invention include various monomers such as styrene, methyl methacrylate, and butyl acrylate, diallyl phthalate prepolymers, oligomers such as unsaturated polyester, melamine resin, phenolic resin, urea resin, etc. Those commonly used for this purpose, such as initial condensates of various water-soluble resins, can be used.

Since these surfactants do not ionically dissociate in an aqueous solution, they are not affected in any way even in hard water containing various metal salts and organic salts. Furthermore, it is superior to anionic or cationic surfactants in terms of compatibility with various solvents and chemicals, making it optimal for the purpose of the present invention. The concentration of the surfactant aqueous solution varies depending on the type of wood to be treated, but usually an aqueous solution of about 1 to 10% can be used. As for the treatment method, the liquid ratio is about 5 to 10 times by dipping, and the treatment time is about 1 to 10 hours. After the immersion treatment is completed, the veneer is sufficiently washed with water and dried by a conventional method to obtain a veneer for injection of synthetic resin liquid. In addition, during the treatment, the treatment time can be shortened by heating the surfactant aqueous solution if necessary.
