発明の作用及び効果

ないシヤモツトとスラグが主成分であるから、焼
成時の収縮が極めて小さく、割れや歪みを生じ難
いため500mm角程度の大型のものも歩留まり良く
焼成することができるとともに、スラグが焼結補
助剤として作用するため強度が高く、薄いものも

したのは、この範囲より少ないと結合力が弱くて
成形が困難となり、逆に多すぎるとプレス型から
の離型性が悪くなるからであり、さらに、スラグ
を10〜30重量%としたのは、この範囲より少ない
と焼結力が小さくて強度不足となり、逆に多すぎ
ると硬度が高すぎて加工性が低下するからであ

粉砕スラグ20重量%を混合し、乾式プレスによ
り長さ460mm、幅303mm、厚さ13mmの素地を成形
し、施釉後1300℃で焼成したところ、曲げ強度
347.6Kg、吸水率4.9%と、屋根瓦として極めて優
れた性質を有し、かつ、焼成による収縮が0.65%
と非常に小さいため焼き割れや歪みが無く著しく
