Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] Transferring a toner image formed on a photoreceptor drum to a transfer belt that is in contact with the underside of the photoreceptor drum and conveyed in a direction perpendicular to its axis, or to a transfer paper that is carried and conveyed by the transfer belt. A transfer device of an image forming apparatus in which transfer is performed by a corona means, wherein the transfer belt is exposed to light at a transfer position by a leading edge of a regulating plate for regulating transfer charge, which is attached to an inlet side of the transfer belt of a casing of the transfer corona means. The photoreceptor drum is supported in close proximity to the photoreceptor drum, the rear end of the photoreceptor drum is positioned and pivoted on the machine frame, and the front end pivot position is adjustable within the transfer belt conveyance direction, and the above regulations apply. The plate has a pair of guide grooves that are symmetrical with respect to the center line extending in the transfer belt conveyance direction and are inclined with respect to the leading edge of the regulation plate, and the casing of the transfer corona means is slidably engaged with each of the guide grooves. What is claimed is: 1. A transfer device comprising two guide pins that press the regulating plate toward the front, a spring that biases the regulating plate toward the front, and an adjustment screw that presses the front end of the regulating plate toward the rear.
