As described in Publication No. 62-161334, it has a sliding contact piece that is made of an elastic material and has protrusions formed on both the front and back sides of the tip, and this sliding contact piece has the protrusions in the longitudinal direction. Some were formed to have a substantially triangular cross section, and others were formed to have a thin plate shape in cross section, as in the sliding contact piece described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 63-35246.

It becomes large and the agitator has poor rotational performance. Therefore, a device using a sliding contact piece described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 63-35246 came to be used, but due to the reverse effect of the improved rotatability of the agitator, the sliding contact piece continuously covered the cleaning surface. A problem occurred where the tapping sound became high pitched. For this reason, in an attempt to reduce noise by reducing the sound of the sliding contact piece hitting the surface to be cleaned, the wall thickness of the sliding contact piece was made even thinner. With this agitator, when the end of the sliding contact piece on the side opposite to the belt tension contacts the surface to be cleaned, the part on the belt side has already touched the surface to be cleaned and rotated upward, resulting in a strong contact with the surface. However, it was discovered that it could not be used immediately due to the phenomenon of breakage.

By making it thinner, the sound of the sliding contact piece hitting the surface to be cleaned is reduced, and by making the sliding contact piece generally thinner, it becomes more flexible, which reduces the resistance to rotation received from the cleaning surface, reducing the rotational driving force. The noise generated due to the generation of this driving force can be reduced, and therefore the noise generated when the agitator of the vacuum cleaner rotates can be reduced, and the usability can be improved.

Each has a turbine chamber 8 containing a turbine 4 at the rear thereof, and is composed of an upper body 5, a lower body 6, and a connecting pipe 7. The connecting tube 7 is held between the upper body 5 and the lower body 6 so as to be able to move up and down. A connecting pipe 9 is rotatably connected to the connecting pipe 7 via a connecting ring 10, and is connected to the hose or extension pipe. Reference numeral 11 denotes a front body, which is removably connected to the upper body 5 and the lower body 6 by means of a pair of buckles 12, and covers the suction port chamber 3 from above. 13 is a bearing pipe that rotatably holds the turbine shaft 14 holding the turbine 4; 15 is a turbine shaft of a pulley 16 attached to the end of the turbine shaft 14 opposite to the turbine 4 and to both ends of the agitator 2; This is a belt stretched around the pulley 16 on the 14 side. Reference numeral 17 designates a switching lever that integrally includes an operating knob 18 that protrudes upward from the upper body 5 and a shielding plate 20 that opens and closes a main passage 19 that communicates with the suction port chamber 3 of the turbine chamber 8. 8 side, the shielding plate 20 closes the main passage 19, and conversely, when the knob 18 is positioned on the end side of the floor nozzle body 1, the switching lever 1 closes.
7, the shielding plate 20 slides toward the end and opens the main passage 19. Reference numeral 21 denotes an auxiliary passage formed in front of the turbine 4, which constantly communicates the turbine chamber 8 with the suction port chamber 3, and which connects the upper body 5 and the lower body 6.

れている。 The agitator 2 is a holder 2 made of low foam resin.
2 and inserted into this holder 22 facing each other,
It is formed from two fitted sliding contact pieces 23, two toothed pulleys 16 for belt tensioning fixed to both ends of the holder 22, and a holder shaft press-fitted to both ends of the holder 22. , is rotatably fixed to the lower body 6 by a pair of bearings 24 fitted to the holder shaft. Also, agitator 2
As shown in Figure 1, it is shaped like a spiral twisted approximately 180 degrees. The sliding contact piece 23 is made of an elastic material such as rubber or soft vinyl chloride, and consists of a fixed part 23a that is fitted into the holder 22, and a sliding contact part 23b formed in a thin plate shape on the outer circumferential side of the agitator. The surface of the sliding contact portion 23b is provided with a protrusion 2 for scraping up dust, which is made up of a large number of approximately conical minute protrusions.
3c is formed, protrudes downward from the suction opening 25 formed below the suction port chamber 3 of the lower body 6, and comes into sliding contact with the cleaning surface. Also, from both ends of the sliding contact portion 23b, approximately
The wall thickness of the 15mm part is z = approx. 0.8mm, and the inside part is approx.
The wall thickness y of the 10 mm portion gradually changes to about 0.8 to 0.5 mm, and the inner wall thickness x is about 0.5 mm.

At this time, the shielding plate 20 opens the main passage 19 and the flow velocity of the suction air passing through the sub passage 21 becomes low, so that the rotation of the turbine 4 is stopped, and the agitator 2 is used while being stopped.

, and the suction air is passed through the suction opening 25 → sub passage 21 →
The water flows through the turbine chamber 8 → connecting pipe 9 → hose, extension pipe → vacuum cleaner body. The air flow that has entered the turbine chamber 8 is throttled by the auxiliary passage 21 and collides with the turbine 4 at high speed, causing it to rotate in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG. This rotation is transmitted by the belt 15 and the agitator 2 rotates, removing dust at the base of the carpet fibers and fibrous dust such as lint and hair attached to the surface of the protrusion 2 formed on the sliding contact portion 23b.
3c is raked up, making it possible to clean the floor efficiently and easily.

る。 By the way, since the agitator 2 is twisted in the direction shown in FIG.
Since the part on the belt 15 side has already touched the cleaning surface and rotated upward, it makes a strong contact with the ground, but the wall thickness z of this part is 0.8 mm, which is different from the thickness of the conventional sliding contact piece. Since they are almost the same, they will not break or break during normal use, ensuring the same durability as before.

The resistance to the rotation of the vacuum cleaner is reduced, the rotational driving force is reduced, and the noise generated due to the generation of this driving force can be reduced. Therefore, the noise generated when the agitator of the vacuum cleaner rotates, in other words, the noise when cleaning the carpet, can be reduced. It is possible to reduce the

The sliding contact piece is provided with a sliding contact piece that is attached in a spiral shape along the sliding contact piece, and a holder that holds the sliding contact piece, and the sliding contact piece is configured to have a thick wall portion at both ends and a thin wall portion at the other end. This ensures the durability of the end of the sliding contact piece when the agitator rotates, while reducing the sound of the sliding contact piece hitting the surface to be cleaned. The resistance to the rotation received is reduced, the rotational driving force is reduced, and the noise generated due to the generation of this driving force can be reduced. Therefore, the noise generated when the agitator of the vacuum cleaner rotates can be reduced, and the usability can be improved. It is something.
