However, since liquid fertilizers generate crystals or insoluble substances during storage, when they are used by spraying, the nozzle may become clogged. In particular, when the temperature is lowered, the solubility decreases, making it easier for crystals to precipitate.

JP-A-55-15901 discloses a method for improving the stability of liquid fertilizer by incorporating citric acid, but especially in the case of liquid fertilizer containing urea, hydrolysis of urea occurs as the temperature rises, and the pH increases. The rise in temperature produces insoluble matter, and the cause is different from crystal precipitation at low temperatures as in the present invention.

On the other hand, JP-A-50-148167 discloses a fertilizer to which chitin or chitosan is added as an anti-caking agent. The purpose of this is to prevent caking of powdered fertilizers such as urea, ammonium sulfate, and potassium chloride, and its function is completely different from the crystallization of liquid fertilizers.

As a result of intensive research to develop a liquid fertilizer that does not form crystals even at low temperatures during storage, the inventors of the present invention have found that by adding chitosan and polyacrylamide to liquid fertilizer, they can suppress the precipitation of crystals and reduce viscosity changes. The present invention was completed based on the discovery that the amount can be reduced.

Chitosan is obtained by deacetylating chitin, which is usually produced from organic bone nuclei of arthropods, annelids, and molluscs, especially the shells of crabs and shrimps.
It is a white amorphous powder and is a basic polysaccharide consisting of glucosamine (2-amino-D-glucose). Free substances do not dissolve in water, but in the presence of acids they form salts and dissolve.
In the present invention, it is dissolved in an acid and used as an aqueous solution.

When the amount of chitosan exceeds 0.3% by weight, precipitation of chitosan itself occurs. If the amount is less than 0.05% by weight, there will be no effect of adding chitosan, resulting in crystal precipitation at low temperatures and a significant decrease in viscosity. If the content of polyacrylamide exceeds 3% by weight, it becomes highly viscous and difficult to manufacture, although it varies somewhat depending on the molecular weight. If the polyacrylamide content is less than 0.5% by weight, the polyacrylamide has no effect, and the presence of phosphate causes insolubilization or gelation, as in the case where Keedsan is added alone.
