Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title material which gives a molded article excellent in gloss, transparency, etc., by incorporating an alkylphenyl phosphite and an alkanepolyol phosphate salt as release agents. CONSTITUTION:An unsaturated polyester resin (A) is mixed with an alkylphenyl phosphite (B), an alkanepolyol phosphate salt (C) (e.g. magnesium salt of an alkanepolyol phosphate), and necessary additives (D), such as a filler (e.g. glass powder) and a reinforcing material (e.g. glass fiber), to produce the title material. It is desirable that the amounts of components B and C be respectively about 0.1-5pts.wt. and 0.01-0.1pt.wt. based on 100pts.wt. component A. The obtained material is suitably used for housing equipment, building members, sanitary wares, etc.

Conventionally, unsaturated polyester resin molded products have high strength and durability, and the fluidity of the molding material during molding is good, so large molded products can be formed by low-pressure molding. Mold release agents have the disadvantage that the metal salt bleeds out onto the surface of the molded product, reducing gloss and transparency.

The present invention is an unsaturated polyester resin molding material characterized by containing an alkylphenyl phosphite and an alkane polyol phosphate ester salt, so that the mold release agent does not bleed out onto the surface of the molded product, and the gloss and shine are maintained. The present invention will be described in detail below, using materials that do not impede transparency.

The alkylphenyl phosphite used in the present invention includes all alkylphenyl phosphites, and the amount added is 0.1 to 5 parts per 100 parts (hereinafter simply referred to as parts) of the unsaturated polyester resin. preferred, i.e. 0
.. This is because if the amount is less than 1 part, the mold releasability tends to decrease, and if it exceeds 5 parts, the gloss tends to decrease. Alkane polyol phosphate ester salts also include all alkane polyol phosphate ester salts, and may be saturated alkane polyol phosphate ester salts or unsaturated alkane polyol phosphate ester salts. Examples of alkane polyol phosphate ester salts include calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium,
Aluminum, zinc, and tin are preferably added in an amount of 100% resin.
It is preferable that the amount is 0.01 to 0.1 part per part.If it is less than 0.01 part, the compatibility between the alkylphenyl phosphite and the resin will decrease, and if it exceeds 0.1 part, there will be no difference in the effect. This is because it is not. Any unsaturated polyester resin can be used, and a styrene monomer or the like as a crosslinking agent can also be included. As fillers, pulp, wood flour, glass powder, calcium carbonate, clay, silica, talc, aluminum hydroxide, etc. can be added. Thermoplastic resins, glass fibers as low shrinkage agents,
Reinforcing agents such as glass fiber chips, crosslinking agents, polymerization initiators, coloring agents, etc. are not particularly limited, and commonly used ones can be used as they are. The unsaturated polyester resin molding material thus obtained can be molded under heat and pressure by compression molding, extrusion molding, transfer molding, injection molding, etc. to obtain molded products with excellent gloss and transparency.
