- ピストンの頂面中央部にピストンキヤビテイが
形成された内燃機関に設けられ、吸気マニホール
ドに接続される入口部から略直線状に延びる入口
流路と、該入口流路から連続して延び吸気バルブ
ステムの軸線周りに巻き回し燃焼室への開口部へ
通じる渦巻状流路とを備えた内燃機関のヘリカル
型吸気ポートにおいて、前記渦巻状流路の内周壁
に、前記燃焼室への開口部へ通じる螺旋状溝を形
成したことを特徴とする内燃機関のヘリカル型吸
気ポート。
