【考案の詳細な説明】
本考案は、たとえば外部雰囲気に露出して取り
付けられるオートバイ用のスピードメータやタコ
メータ等のメータ用ハウジング、特に前面保護カ
バーの密封構造を有するメータ用ハウジングに関

劣化しクラツク等を生じるという問題があつた。
この対策として外部雰囲気中に装備して使用され
る計器類においてブレーキオイルが付着しても劣
化する心配のない金属製のケースが用いられてお

け、上記金属製の被嵌部の下方に向う内端縁の端
面と上記保護カバーの外表面との間に前記パツキ
ンの内周縁を水平に延設して介在させ、この延設
したパツキン部分により上記被嵌部端面の圧接部

の場合第3図Aのように圧接部15aを凹状に形
成してこの凹状圧接部15aに加締リング17の
被嵌部内端縁の端面17aが圧接した場合に加締
リング17の被嵌部先端を取り巻くパツキン15
のフランジ15bを形成したもの、または第3図
Bのように圧接部15aを加締リング17の被嵌
部内端縁の端面17aとほぼ同一の巾をもつて平
坦に形成してこの平坦な圧接部15aに加締リン
グ17の被嵌部内端縁の端面17aが圧接した場

間にパツキンの圧接部が挾まれて介在するため加
締時に金属が接触することにより保護カバーが割
れる虞れがない。また上記金属製リングまたは金
属製ハウジングは被嵌部内端縁の端面がパツキン
により保護されているため錆にくくなり端面のバ
リもパツキンに覆われて外観を良好とすることも
可能になる。さらにまたハウジングが金属製のた
