Conventionally, it has been widely adopted to attach external wall panels of buildings, etc. to mullions. A sealing material such as caulking is embedded in the joints between these outer wall panels to stop water after the outer wall panels are fixed. This type of sealing work was a troublesome and dangerous work, requiring scaffolding to be erected outside the room.

The method for installing exterior wall panels according to this invention is as follows:
On the outside of the structure's frame, mullions with vertically continuous sealing material fixed along the outer wall panel surface are fixedly erected at predetermined intervals to the structure frame, and water-stopping seals are installed around the four circumferences of the outer wall panel body. Attach the rotating edges, fix sealing material to the upper or lower rotating edges in advance, and make the rotating edges on both the left and right sides of the outer wall panel contact the sealing material that is continuously fixed in the vertical direction of the mullion. Further, by stacking the outer wall panels one after another on the fixed outer wall panels, the horizontal sealing material fixed to the upper or lower circumferential edge is crimped, and the horizontal sealing material is made to intersect with the vertical sealing material provided on the mullion. Fix the exterior wall panels in contact with the panels, and install the water stop material for the primary seal from above between the left and right edges of the adjacent exterior wall panels.

ることがない。 The outer wall panel A is stacked and fixed on the already fixed outer wall panel A, and a sealing material 9 is interposed between the upper and lower outer wall panels A. That is, exterior wall panel A
Since the sealant 9 is already fixed to the outer wall panel A, when the outer wall panel A is placed on the upper circumferential edge 5 of the lower outer wall panel A, the sealant 9 comes into contact with the upper surface of the horizontal portion 52 of the upper circumferential edge 5. Do it like this. Seal material 9
is crushed by the weight of the panel 4, and the close contact between the upper and lower panels 4 becomes complete. It protrudes to the side edges of the left and right edges 7 and 8 of the sealing material 9, and the mullion 1
The indoor side surfaces of the horizontal sealing material 9 are brought into contact with the projecting pieces 21 and 22 of the vertical sealing material 2 so as to be perpendicularly overlapped with each other. Therefore, even if there is some error in installation accuracy and the gap between the left and right exterior wall panels A becomes wider or narrower, the sealant 2 of the mullion 1 will still come into contact with the sealant 9 of the exterior wall panel 4, so water will be stopped. The effect never decreases.

Protective members 18 made of hard rubber are fitted into the hook-shaped contact pieces 73 and 83 above and below the sealing material 9 to prevent abnormal deformation of the sealing material. Moreover, the interior material holding edge 53 on the outdoor side of the upper rotating edge 5 is connected to the sealing material 2 of the mullion 1 and the contact pieces 73, 83 of the left and right rotating edges 7, 8.
