ズホルダと、この対物レンズホルダが前記対物レ
ンズの光軸方向に沿つて移動可能に支持され且つ
装置本体上を前記情報記録担体の半径方向に移動
可能なキヤリツジと、前記対物レンズによる光束
の集光を情報記録担体上にフオーカシングするた
め前記対物レンズホルダを光軸方向に移動するア
クチユエータとを備えたデイスク状記録担体のド
ライブ装置であつて、 前記アクチユエータは、前記装置本体上に固定
的に配置され且つ永久磁石が固着された第1の磁
路、及びこの第1の磁路より磁気空隙を介して磁
束が流れる第2の磁路とより成る磁気回路と、こ
の磁気回路と対向する位置に配置され該磁気回路
の磁気空隙を流れる磁束の方向と直交する方向に
電流が流れるよう構成されたコイルとを備え、前
記第1の磁路は前記装置本体に固定され、前記第
2の磁路は前記キヤリツジに固定され、前記コイ
ルは前記対物レンズホルダに固着されたことを特
徴とするデイスク状情報記録担体のドライブ装置
