When folded, this type of foldable structure is grounded only by the casters provided on the pillars, and can be easily moved by sliding the casters. On the other hand, when unfolded, the folding structure is grounded only by the stands provided on the pillars, and the folding structure is stably supported by the pressing force of the stands. Therefore, when the foldable structure is folded, the ground contact position of the caster is set relatively lower than the ground contact position of the stand, and when the foldable structure is unfolded, the ground contact position of the stand is set relatively lower than the ground contact position of the caster. There is a need. Therefore, in the folding structure disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 62-32442, the present applicant has provided the pedestal with (a) an outer cylindrical portion whose upper end is pivotally attached to the top plate side. (b) An inner tube portion for a stand is provided which is fitted into the outer tube portion and is slidable in the vertical direction. (c) One end is pivotally attached to the top plate side that is substantially pivoted upward from the pivot position of the pedestal that becomes a rotational fulcrum when the top plate is folded, and the other end is pivotally attached to the inner pipe portion. An operating rod-like member is provided. (d) A sliding hole is provided in the outer cylinder part so that the operating rod-like member can pull up or push down the inner pipe part in the vertical direction when the top plate is folded or unfolded. By adopting this configuration, the ground position of the stand can be raised and lowered by a predetermined distance in conjunction with the folding and unfolding operations of the top plate, and has achieved considerable results. However, when used in a structure with long pillars, such as a folding table with the above configuration, it is necessary to mold the inner tube part long to the top plate side, and the operating link must be able to pull up the upper end of the inner tube part. In some cases, a large amount of force is required, and there is a risk that the original folding operation may be inhibited.

This idea was developed as a result of intensive research in view of the above circumstances.
This is a newly invented device, and its main purpose is to smoothly fold and unfold the top plate even on structures with long legs such as folding tables, and to link the folding and unfolding operations of the stand. The purpose is to raise and lower the grounding position by a predetermined length.

When the top plate is folded or unfolded, the pivoting position between the link member and the pillar serves as a rotational fulcrum, and the connecting position on the link member side of the operating rod-shaped member rotates up and down. As the upper end of the operating rod member moves up and down, the inner tube for the stand connected to the lower end of the link slides up and down within the outer tube by a predetermined length through the sliding hole. At this time, since the lower end of the operating rod-like member is pivotally connected to the lower part of the inner tube, the inner tube can be pulled up without requiring a large force, and the folding operation is not hindered.

A preferred embodiment of this invention applied to a folding table will be described below with reference to the drawings. The folding table 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is
A pair of divided pieces 10 and 11 that are divided into two pieces of the same shape and size to constitute a table top plate, and a top plate support bracket 1 for connection fixed to the back side of their opposing ends.
4,15. These top support brackets 14 and 15 are rotatably connected to each other by a pivot 16, and a hinge portion 12 is provided in the direction of the extension axis of the pivot 16, as shown in FIG. 1B. The position of the pivot shaft 16 of the top plate support bracket is set on the downward extension line of the opposing surfaces of the divided pieces 10 and 11, with the opposing surfaces of the split pieces 10 and 11 abutting against each other. The divided pieces 10 and 11 and the top support brackets 14 and 15 are connected to the pivot 16 and the hinge part 12.
It is designed to be folded or unfolded using a folding mechanism using the fulcrum as a fulcrum. In the present invention, the folding mechanism includes a telescopic vertical tube 20, stay members 17 and 18, and link members 24 and 25. That is, upper ends of a pair of stay members 17, 18 are rotatably attached to each of the top plate support brackets 14, 15 at both end positions sandwiching the pivot 16 therebetween.
The lower ends of the stay members overlap each other and are bendably connected by a pin 19. Between the pin 19 and the mutual pivot shaft 16 of the top plate support bracket, there is a telescopic vertical pipe 2 having a double pipe structure.
There is a 0 across it. Further, upper end portions of pillars 21 and 22 are rotatably connected to the top support brackets 14 and 15 by pins 23 and 23' on both sides thereof. In this embodiment, the pedestals 21 and 22 are pivoted to the top plate side by top plate support brackets 14 and 15 which are fixed downward and have a U-shaped cross section. That is, pins 23 and 23' are passed through both ends of the top plate support brackets 14 and 15 toward the outside, and bearing pieces fixed to the upper ends of the pillars 21 and 22 are attached to these pins 23 and 23'. Since the bearing holes 21A and 22A are fitted externally, in this embodiment, the pins 23,
23' becomes a rotation fulcrum (pivot position). Next, the pillars 21 and 22 have a substantially L-shape with supporting legs extending outward in the longitudinal direction of the top plate at their lower ends. Link members 24 and 25 are provided between the middle parts of these pillars 21 and 22 and the middle part of the telescopic vertical pipe 20, respectively.
is installed horizontally. One end of the pair of link members 24 and 25 is pivotally attached to the same pivot 26 at the midpoint of the telescopic vertical tube 20, and the other end is pivoted to each pillar via pivots 27 and 28 at a position higher than the one end side. The ground position of the pillars is maintained in conjunction with the folding operation of the top plate. Next, the pillars 21 and 22 have hanging rod portions 21A and 22A, and extending rod portions 21B and 22B extending outward perpendicularly from the lower ends of the hanging rod portions 21A and 22A, as more clearly seen in FIG. It is made up of. In addition, 22C in the figure is a reinforcing horizontal crosspiece that is horizontally connected between the pillars 22, 22 provided on one outer end side of the top plate, and is also reinforced between the pillars 21, 21 on the other end side. A horizontal rail portion (not shown) is provided. Hanging rod portions 21A and 22A configured in this way
The stand 50 has a double tube structure consisting of an outer tube portion 51 and an inner tube portion 52 fitted into the outer tube portion 51. That is, the outer tubular portion 51 is made of a hollow rectangular tubular pipe whose ground side is open, and the inner tubular portion 5 is formed in the hollow portion.
2 is fitted so as to be slidable in the vertical direction. A shoe section 53 that can be finely adjusted in the vertical direction is provided on the ground side of the inner tube section 52. The shoe section 53 consists of a shoe body 53A made of a synthetic rubber material and an adjustment screw 53B whose lower end is fixed to the shoe body 53A, and is screwed into a nut N fixed inside the lower end of the inner tube section 52. has been done. Therefore, the grounding position of the shoe body 53A can be finely adjusted by turning the adjustment screw 53B and moving it up and down. Further, the outer cylinder portion 51 has a sliding hole 61 formed in the outer wall surface thereof and extending in the vertical direction. An inner tube portion 52 is provided between the inner tube portion 52 of the pillars 21 and 22 and the link members 24 and 25 of the folding mechanism.
An operating rod-like member 60 for raising and lowering is installed. That is, as clearly seen in FIG.
has a substantially U-shape, and its lower part is bent at a substantially right angle and extends horizontally to form pivot points 28 and 29 with the link members 24 and 25 above the inner tube portion 52.
At a lower position, it passes through and is pivotally attached to the upper part of the inner cylinder part 52 via a sliding hole 61 formed vertically in the outer cylinder part 51 in the form of an elongated hole. On the other hand, the upper part of the operating rod-shaped member 60 is bent parallel to the lower part and is pivotally attached to the middle part of the link members 24 and 25 on the outside.
The top plate or top plate support brackets 14 and 15, which are tilted using pivot points 8 and 29, are pivoted to positions where they rise when folded and fall when unfolded. Therefore, the stand 50 can be expanded and contracted by raising and lowering the inner tube part 52 via the operating rod-like member 60 in conjunction with the folding and unfolding operations of the top plate. In the figure, S is a stopper provided to prevent the operating rod-like member 9 from falling off from the pivot position of the link member, and 52A is a spacer fixed on the outside of the inner tube, which is made of synthetic resin or other lubricating material. You may use the material which has. On the other hand, the mounting portion of the caster 40 is fixed to the lower surface of the extending rod portions 21B and 22B so as to be able to slide freely. This caster 40 has a lower end connected to the stand 50.
It is set at a position higher than the shoe portion 53 which is the lower end of the table when the table is unfolded and lower when the table is folded. In the unfolded state of the table shown in FIG. 1a and FIG.
0,11 and the opposite ends of the top support brackets 14,15 open at their mutual pivot points 16 and hinges 12. When the position of the connecting pin 26 between the link members 24, 25 and the telescopic hanging pipe 20, which follow the movement, exceeds the horizontal position of the pivot points 27, 28 of the link members 24, 25, the elastic force of a spring (not shown) It acts in the direction of raising the mutually opposing ends of the top plate or the top plate support frames 10, 11, that is, in the direction of folding the top plate (see FIG. 2b).
In connection with the folding operation of 15, the stay members 17 and 18
Since the pillars 21 and 22 are folded in half by the connecting pin 26 with the telescopic vertical tube 20, the pillars 21 and 22 also move relative to each other in the approaching direction and are folded into a standing parallel shape (the second
(see figure c). During this folding process, the pillars 21 and 22 change from the upright position in the unfolded state as shown in FIG. 1a and FIG. After that, it returns to the folded upright position. Next, to explain the action of the stand 50, in the table unfolded state, the operating rod-like member 60 displaces (extends) the inner tube portion 52 to the lowest lowered position.
This stand 5 has a lower position than Casta 40.
Only 0 will support the table. Further, when the table is folded, the inner tube portion 52 is displaced (shortened) to the highest raised position in accordance with the tilting of the link member, so that the casters 40 are in a low position and the table is supported by the casters 40 alone. Further, the grounding position of the stand 50 moves up and down relative to the casters 40. In addition, the lower end of the pedestal does not move inward until the top plate begins to fold and the stand slightly tilts inward and rises from the grounded position, as shown in Figure 1c. You can move to sliding after rising reliably.

With this invention, in the case of a folding table with long legs and a large top plate, there is no need to set the inner cylinder part built into the legs long to the vicinity of the top plate, and it extends to the vicinity of the link member of the folding mechanism. If it is extended, it is possible to avoid increasing the size of the inner cylinder part. In addition, since the operating rod-like member is spaced apart from the bottom surface of the top plate, the inner tube can be pulled up smoothly, and the top plate can be folded or expanded without interfering with the hinge or other components. can do.
