Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
チタニウム性の歯内療法用根管治療器具本発明は歯内療法に使用される根管治療
器具に関するものである。
現在治療方法に合わせて刃(lame)の形状の異なる多種類の根管治療器具が
使用されている。これらのいくつかは規格化されており、このために器具メーカ
ーはこれらの器具の改良について制約を受ける場合がある。
とりわけ解決されるべき主要な課題のひとつは、根管治療器具としての優れた切
削性能と耐久性に加えて、ときおり患者の歯の根管が極端に曲がりくねっている
場合のあることが知られているが、あらゆる形状の歯の根管に沿って正確に切削
するに足る高度な柔軟性をも同時に兼ね備えた根管治療器具を提供することであ
る。
今日、上質の根管治療器具の刃は通常ステンレススチール製であり、柔軟性に欠
けるため、複雑な構造の根管の治療の場合に当該器具の先端を根管の屈曲に追随
させることが困難であった。
しかも、悪条件下で当該器具を使用する場合、根管治療器具の刃は根管内で破損
し、ときにはその破片を摘出することができないこともあることが知られている
。これは、ステンレススチールが歯根内に残留する危険性のあることを示すもの
である。
本発明の目的は上記の諸問題を、非常に高度な柔軟性と、ステンレススチールま
たは炭素製器具の切削性能を兼ね備えた根管治療器具であって、かつ、根管内に
残留した破片から感染する危険性を大幅に減少し得る生体適合性素材で作られた
根管治療器具を提供することにより、解決せんとするものである。
本発明によれば、この課題は、菌内療法用の根管治療器具の刃を少なくとも部分
的にチタニウム製またはチタニウム合金製とすることによって達成される。
チタニウム合金を用いる場合には、チタニウムが主原料となることが好ましい。
このタイプの根管治療器具は、卓越した作業性とともに最大限の安全i主を提供
する(のである。
なお、本発明の根管治療器具は、何ら問題なく殺菌消毒することができる。

Claims (2)
- 1.刃の少なくとも一部分がチタニウム製またはチタニウム合金製であることを 特徴とする歯内療法用根管治療器具。
- 2.前記チタニウム合金はチタニウムを主原料とすることを特徴とする請求の範 囲1に記載の根管治療器具。
