Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.排気ガスの貫流する少なくとも一つの第1の金属製ハニカム形触媒担体(1 、21、31)と、この担体を支持する第1の内側カバー筒(3、23、33) とを備えるようにした、特に自動車のためのカバー付き触媒において、a)第1 の内側カバー筒(3、23、33)を間隔を置いてほぼ同心に囲む外側カバー筒 (8、28、38a,b,c)が設けられ、b)第1の内側カバー筒(3、23 、33)及び外側カバー筒(8、28、38)が端部(11、13)で相互に強 固に結合され、c)第1の内側カバー筒(3、23、33)が自由に線膨張可能 に外側カバー筒(8、28、38a,b,c)の中に配置されていることを特徴 とするカバー付き触媒。 2.自由に線膨張可能な内側カバー筒(3、23、33)が補助的に滑りばめ( 5、30a)で保持されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のカバー付き触媒 。 3.滑りばめが外側カバー筒(38a)の環状又は個々の内向き波形(30a) により構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のカバー付き触媒。 4.外側カバー筒(8、28、38a,b,c)が全装置の保持及び外側保護を 形成しかつ内圧の支持体となり、一方少なくとも一つの内側カバー筒(3、23 、33)が触媒担体(1、21、31)の確実な保持だけを形成することを特徴 とする請求項1ないし3の一つに記載のカバー付き触媒。 5.外側カバー筒(8、28、38a,b,c)がオーステナイト系材料から成 ることを特徴とする請求項1ないし4の一つに記載のカバー付き触媒。 6.少なくとも一つの内側カバー筒(3、23、33)がフェライト系材料から 成ることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5の一つに記載のカバー付き触媒。 7.少なくとも一つの内側カバー筒(3、23、33)が少なくとも部分域で、 望ましくは端部(6、11、26、36、42)を除いて孔を開けられているこ とを特徴とする請求項1ないし6の一つに記載のカバー付き触媒。 8.a)外側カバー筒(8、28、38a,b,c)中にほぼ同心に第2の触媒 担体(2、22、32)と、この担体を支持する第2の内側カバー筒(4、24 、34)とが設けられ、 b)第1の内側カバー筒(3、23、33)の一方の端部が外側カバー筒(8、 28、38)の一方の端部と強固に結合され、c)第2の内側カバー筒(4、2 4、34)の一方の端部が外側カバー筒(8、28、38a,b,c)の他方の 端部と強固に結合され、d)第1の内側カバー筒(3、23、33)と第2の内 側カバー筒(4、24、34)との他方の端部(6、7、26、27、36、3 7)が滑りばめで相互に(5、25、35)及び/又は外側カバー筒(28、3 8a、38b)の内部(20、30a、30b)に保持されていることを特徴と する請求項1ないし7の一つに記載のカバー付き触媒。 9.第2の内側カバー筒(4、24、34)もフェライト系の及び/又は孔を開 けられた板から成ることを特徴とする請求項8記載のカバー付き触媒。 10.両触媒担体(1、2、21、22、31、32)が異なる軸方向長さ及び /又は単位断面積当たりの異なる流路数を有することを特徴とする請求項8又は 9記載のカバー付き触媒。 11.両触媒担体(1、2、21、22、31、32)の間には排気ガスの旋回 と線膨張の補償とのための中間室(14)が設けられ、この中間室が望ましくは 約1〜3cmの軸方向長さを有することを特徴とする請求項8ないし10の一つ に記載のカバー付き触媒。 12.両方の内側カバー筒(3、4、23、24、33、34)の自由に線膨張 可能な両端部(6、7、26、27、36、37)は、望ましくは第1の内側カ バー筒(3、23、33)の端部(6、26、36)が細い部分(6)を有し、 冷状態で数mmだけ第2の内側カバー筒(4、24、34)の内部へ突入するこ とにより、滑りばめ(5、25、35)を介して相互に導かれていることを特徴 とする請求項8ないし11の一つに記載のカバー付き触媒。 13.全装置の端部上に接続片(15、41、43)が押しはめられ、望ましく は突き合わせ溶接により外側カバー筒(8、28、38)と結合され、その際特 にそれぞれ単一の環状溶接継手(10、11)が接続片(15)と外側カバー筒 (8)と内側カバー筒(3)との結合のために用いられることを特徴とする請求 項1ないし12の一つに記載のカバー付き触媒。
