Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 (1)自動車の蓄電バッテリに関しその状態と指示を提供するためのバッテリの 状態監視装置であって、 (a)前記バッテリの状態監視装置の作動を制御するための前記自動車内に設け られたマイクロプロセッサ手段と; (b)前記作動の順序を制御するため前記マイクロプロセッサ手段に命令を与え るソフトウエア手段と; (c)前記ソフトウエアの命令、及び前記バッテリの内部抵抗、前記内部抵抗の 許容可能な限界、それに前記バッテリの周囲温度との間で予じめ定められた関係 を保存するため前記マイクロプロセッサ手段に接続された記憶手段と;(d)前 記マイクロプロセッサ手段からのディジタル信号をアナログ信号に変換するため 前記マイクロプロセッサ手段に接続されたディジタルーアナログ変換器手段と; (e)前記マイクロプロセッサ手段で必要とされる電圧と電流とで電力を発生さ せるため前記ディジタルーアナログ変換器手段に接続された直流電力発生装置手 段と; (f)前記バッテリに出入りする電流を測定するため前記バッテリの端子に接続 された電流感知装置手段と; (g)前記バッテリの周囲温度を測定するため前記バッテリの近傍に設けられた 温度感知装置手段と; (h)前記バッテリ、電流感知装置手段、温度感知装置手段、それに直流電力発 生装置手段の電圧値を測定するための電圧計手段と;(i)前記電圧計手段から のアナログ信号を前記マイクロプロセッサへ送るべく定められたディジタル信号 に変換するため前記電圧計手段に接続されたアナログーディジタル変換器手段と ; (j)前記バッテリのメンテナンスと交換の必要性を決定するため、前記電流、 電圧、それに温度を分析し、さらに前記バッテリの内部抵抗と分極、バッテリで の欠陥、それに低温度での始動限界を決定する第二のソフトウエア手段と;(k )前記感知装置、装置直流電力発生装置手段、それに前記バッテリとを接続させ る電気回路を制御するためのアクチュエータ手段と;それに、(1)前記マイク ロプロセッサ手段によって制御され前記バッテリの状態とその指示を表示するた めの表示手段; とを有するバッテリの状態監視装置。 (2)前記蓄電バッテリが再充電可能な鉛バッテリであり、前記直流電力発生装 置手段が交流発電器/整流器/調整器手段である請求の範囲第1項に記載のバッ テリの状態監視装置。 (3)自動車の蓄電バフテリを監視する方法であって:(a胸囲濃度、バフテリ の重圧、交流発電器/調整器の出力電圧、それに前記バッテリに出入りする電流 を連続的に測定するステップと;(b)前記バッテリの内部抵抗と分極を判断す るめたに電波−電圧(I−V)のデータを分析するステップと; (c)充電の状態、腐食された端子や低電解液レベルによって生じるバッテリの 欠陥状態を判断するステップと; (d)バッテリの電力出力能力と前記自動車に必要な始動電力とを比較すること により低温度での始動限界を判断するステップ;それに、(e)前記比較によっ て生じたデータを表示するステップとより成る前記の方法。 (4)更に(a)様々な温度でのバッテリの出力能力に関する予じめ定められた 数学式又はグラブデータを使用し、いかなる温度であってもエンジンに実際使用 される出力を推測することにより様々な温度でエンジンの始動出力要求を判断す るステップを有する請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 (5)エンジンがオフ状態時の長後のバッテリ電圧値とエンジンが始動状態中の 最初のバッテリ電圧値との差異を、前記始動状態中に前記バッテリから出る電波 によって除算することにより、バッテリの内部抵抗を決定する請求の範囲第4項 に記載の方法。 (6)最初のバッテリ電圧値とエンジンが始動状態中にブリセットされた間隔後 のバッテリ電圧値との差異を、前記始動状態中に前記バッテリから出る電流によ り除算することで、バッテリの分極を決定する請求の範囲第4項に記載の方法。 (7)更に (a)前記バッテリを特定のテストサイクル下に置き、そこでは充電装置により 予じめ定められた形状の電波又は電圧がバッテリに強制され、バッテリの応答電 圧又は電流が測定されるステップと;(b)dV/dIとI、又はdI/dVと Vとのフォームでデータを評価するステップと;(c)容量を含むバッテリの特 性と電圧とを決定するステップと;(d)不適合なセル、弱低下したセル、それ に容量の損失を含むバッテリの欠陥を決定するステップと;それに、 (e)前記データと指示を表示するステップと、を有する請求の範囲第4項に記 載の方法。 (8)不適合なセルや弱低下したセルが存在することによって前記 バッテリの寿命の終りが表示される請求の範囲第7項に記載の方法。 (9)下降方向にあってガスが放出するのを止める時の電流から充電状態が決定 される請求の範囲第7項に記載の方法。 (10)上昇方向にあって前記バッテリが当該バッテリ内のガスを放出し始める 時の質流からバッテリの容量が決定される請求の範囲第7項に記載の方法。
