Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- 1.光導波管ループであって、前記ループ内の循環信号の周波数をシフトする光 周波数シフト手段と、前記循環信号を増幅する光増幅手段と、及び前記ループ内 に設けられコヒーレントな入力光信号を前記ループに導入し、前記循環信号を前 記ループから搬送するための光結合手段とを有する光導波管ループ、 を具備することを特徴とし、異なる波長の光の歯のコームを発生する装置。
- 2.前記光導波管のループは第1光ファイバーを具備することを特徴とする請求 項1記載の装置。
- 3.前記周波数シフト手段はBraggcellを具備することを特徴とする請 求項1又は2記載の装置。
- 4.前記周波数シフターはMach−Zehnder変調器であり、前記装置は 狭帯域光フィルタを更に具備することを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の装置。
- 5.前記狭帯域光フィルタは、波長調整できる多電極DGB/DBR半導体アン プを具備することを特徴とする請求項3記載の装置。
- 6.前記光増幅手段は半導体レーザアンプを具備することを特徴とする請求項1 乃至5のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 7.前記半導体レーザアンプはガリューム砒素を具備することを特徴とする請求 項6記載の装置。
- 8.前記光導波管ループは光フィルタを更に具備することを特徴とする請求項1 乃至7のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 9.前記光フィルタはファイバー・ベースのFabry−Perot干渉計を具 備することを特徴とする請求項8記載の装置。
- 10.前記結合手段は、前記第1光ファイバーに僅かに結合される第2光ファイ バーを具備することを特徴とする請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 11.前記光結合手段は波長に依存する結合器を具備することを特徴とする請求 項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 12.入力信号を供給する光源を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のい ずれかに記載の装置。
- 13.前記入力信号はパルスであることを特徴とする請求項12記載の装置。
- 14.前記入力信号は連続的な信号であることを特徴とする請求項12記載の装 置。
- 15.異なる波長の光の歯のコームを発生する方法において、コヒーレントな入 力光信号を、光学的シフト手段及び増幅手段を有する光導波管ループに結合し、 前記ループに前記信号を循環させ、 前記ループから前記信号の一部分を抽出することにより前記コームを発生するス テップを有することを特徴とする方法。
