Description
Claims (28)
- 1.適当な担体上に結合された著量の元素状ニッケルからなるニッナル触媒の存 在下にピリジン塩基を反応させる工程からなり、その反応は約200〜240℃ の温度及びその反応中に塩基の少なくとも若干を液状に維持するに足りる圧力に おけるものである、2,2′−ビピリジル類の製造のための方法。
- 2.担体上に存在するニッケルの少なくとも約30重量%がその元素状態にあり 、そしてその反応はその反応の温度におけるピリジン塩基の自己発生圧力にほぼ 等しいかまたはそれよりも高い圧力におけるものである請求の範囲1の方法。
- 3.触媒がアルミナ、シリカ、けいそう土またはそれらの組合せかちなる不均一 系大表面積担体上に結合された約40〜60重量%の合計ニッケル含量からなる 請求の範囲2の方法。
- 4.触媒は、担体材料上に適当なニッケル塩を含浸し、沈澱し、また共沈するこ とにより製造される請求の範囲3の方法。
- 5.担体上に存在するニッケルの少なくとも約75重量%がその元素状態にある 請求の範囲3の方法。
- 6.触媒は、一般に直径が約1/16〜1/4インチ(0.16〜0.64cm )の範囲の寸法のベレット、球体、押出物またはタブレットの形である請求の範 囲5の方法。
- 7.反応が液相管状反応器内でのものであり、追加的に、管状反応器にある量の 触媒を装入し、装入済反応器を反応の温度及び圧力になし、そして約2〜100 グラムピリジン塩基/ml触媒/時の流量でその中にピリジン塩基の流れを供給 する工程を含む請求の範囲1または6の方法。

- 12.供給流中のピリジン塩基はピリジンからなり、そして回収される生成物は 2,2′−ビピリジルである請求の範囲11の方法。
