Abstract
Description
Claims (12)
- 1.不飽和酸反応体、および得られるコポリマーが潤滑油に可溶性になるのに十 分な炭素原子数を有し、かつ、全オレフィンの少なくとも20重量%がアルキル ビニリデン異性体から成る高分子量オレフィンのオリゴマー状コポリマーの製造 方法であって、不飽和酸反応体と高分子量オレフィンの反応生成物から成る溶剤 の存在下で、前記の高分子量オレフィンと前記の不飽和酸反応体とを反応させる ことを特徴とする前記の方法。
- 2.前記のコポリマー生成物または前記の溶剤のいずれかの製造に使用する不飽 和酸反応体が式:▲数式、化学式、表等があります▼ (式中、XおよびX′の各々は、−OH、−Cl、1〜6炭素原子の−O−低ア ルキルから成る群から独立に選ばれ、そして一緒のときはXおよびX′は−O− である)の反応体である請求の範囲1に記載の方法。
- 3.コポリマー生成物の製造に使用する全オレフィンの少なくとも50%が、ア ルキルビニリデン異性体から成る請求の範囲1に記載の方法。
- 4.コポリマー生成物または溶剤のいずれかの製造に使用する高分子量オレフィ ンが、約500〜約5000の平均分子量を有する請求の範囲1に記載の方法。
- 5.コポリマー生成物または溶剤の製造のいずれかに使用する高分子量オレフィ ンが、ポリイソプテンである請求の範囲1に記載の方法。
- 6.製造されたオリゴマー状コポリマーが、約1.5〜約10の平均重合度を有 する請求の範囲1に記載の方法。
- 7.コポリマー生成物の製造に使用する酸反応体が、無水マレイン酸であり、そ して、コポリマー生成物の製造に使用するアルキルビニリデン異性体がメチルビ ニリデンである請求の範囲1に記載の方法。
- 8.前記の溶剤が、無水マレイン酸とポリイソプテンとの反応生成物から成る請 求の範囲1に記載の方法。
- 9.前記の溶剤が、熱法PIBSAまたは塩素化法PIBSAから成る請求の範 囲8に記載の方法。
- 10.前記の溶剤が前記の方法のオリゴマー状コポリマー生成物から成る請求の 範囲1に記載の方法。
- 11.前記の溶剤がポリPIBSAから成る請求の範囲10に記載の方法。
- 12.前記の溶剤が、(a)不飽和酸反応体と高分子量オレフィンとのオリゴマ ー状コポリマー、または(b)酸反応体:オレフィンの少なくとも1:1モル比 の不飽和酸反応体と高分子量オレフィンとのモノマー状付加物のいずれかまたは これらの混合物から成る請求の範囲1に記載の方法。
