倍率選定スイツチ１８を別に設けて縮倍率設定手
段を操作するようにしていた。したがつて複写す
る場合複写機使用者は、原稿サイズ、用紙サイズ
を決めたなら上記縮倍率表１６でその場合の縮倍
率を求め、それから縮倍率選定スイツチ１８を用
いてこの縮倍率に縮倍率設定手段を設定する、と
いうように２段階の操作をしなければならなかつ

表示部ａ，ｂ，ｃ，ｄが一列に並べて配されてい
る。なお図示されている通り、原稿サイズ表示部
１，２，３，４，５において各原稿サイズは、
「A3」、「B4」等の文字をサイズ大小関係に対応
した大きさの四辺形内に配置して示されている。
こは用紙サイズについても同様である。そして各
原稿サイズ表示部１〜５を含む列と、各用紙サイ
ズ表示部ａ〜ｄを含む行とを直交させて20個のマ

れている。そして各各縮倍率選定スイツチ１ａ〜
５ｄは図示しない公知の縮倍率設定手段に接続さ
れ、表示してある通りの縮倍率に縮倍率設定手段
を設定するようになつている。（なおこれら縮倍
率選定スイツチ１ａ〜５ｄと上記縮倍率設定手段
との接続は、従来から知られている方法によつて

も、勿論適用可能である。また、複数の用紙トレ
イを収納し、用紙サイズ指定に応じて使用用紙ト
レイを自動選択するタイプの複写機に本発明を適
用する場合には、縮倍率選定スイツチを用紙トレ

形と併せて示したので、特に視覚的にサイズを確
認しやすくなり、サイズ設定の操作性が著しく向
