(Prior Art) Conventionally, when a power failure such as a power outage or abnormal voltage drop occurs in the commercial power supply while a computer such as a personal computer is in operation, computer software or programs such as data files are destroyed. In order to prevent such situations, there is a trend to install an uninterruptible power supply between the commercial power source and the computer to solve many of the above problems. In other words, if an uninterruptible power supply is used and the operator is on duty, there will be fewer problems even if a power outage occurs.

(The problem that the invention attempts to solve) However, the above situation is not necessarily the case.
Problems may occur when the operator is not at work, when the computer is operated unmanned late at night in an unmanned factory, or when the operator temporarily leaves his/her seat for a short period of time during normal operation. It was hot.
In other words, if a power failure such as a power outage occurs while the operator in charge is away from a computer such as a personal computer, and the power outage continues for a relatively long time,
For example, if it lasts for more than 10 minutes, even if the power goes out, the computer will continue to operate normally without being backed up, and the battery capacity of the uninterruptible power supply will eventually be exceeded, causing the uninterruptible power supply's battery to drain. There were problems such as damage to the Also, even if the battery is within the capacity, there is no effect, and battery operation may be uneconomical compared to using a commercial power source.

In view of the above, an object of the present invention is to provide an uninterruptible power supply interface that prevents damage caused by overdischarge of the uninterruptible power supply even when a computer is operated unattended, and improves the economy of battery use. It is in.

(Means for solving the problem) When the uninterruptible power supply interface of the present invention receives a power outage signal from the uninterruptible power supply and detects the power outage state, it programs this power outage state via the mouse signal line. It is characterized in that it notifies electronic equipment etc. that have the function and cuts off the current on the power line after a variable set time has elapsed from that time.

(Function) The uninterruptible power supply interface of this invention is used by being placed between the uninterruptible power supply and a computer such as a personal computer, as shown in FIG. That is, each device is connected in the order of uninterruptible power supply → uninterruptible power supply interface of the present invention → computer, and first, the time for the timer operation is set. In a normal state without a power outage, the power input terminal is connected to the power output terminal of the uninterruptible power supply, and the output terminal of the power failure detection circuit of the uninterruptible power supply and the uninterruptible power supply interface of the present invention are connected. It is connected to the Ace's power failure input terminal, but in this state, the uninterruptible power supply interface of this invention is loaded with a program as shown in Figure 2, so the current cut-off means is closed and the current does not flow through. The signal is output directly to the power output terminal via the circuit, and there is no output to the mouse signal line terminal. The mouse signal line terminal is connected to a personal computer as described above, and a program as shown in Fig. 4 is provided as software to this computer. Since there is no interruption, there is no power failure notification due to interruption, and therefore the normal processing shown in FIG. 4 is executed.

If there is a power outage, etc., the power input terminal will be in a state of no voltage or voltage drop, and if there is a power outage signal at the power outage input terminal, it will be sent via the mouse signal line terminal.
Power outage passing information is output to the computer side. When a power outage is reported as described above, the program shown in FIG. 4 in a computer such as a personal computer executes emergency evacuation of the file and then closes the file. Thus, after the time set as above has elapsed, the uninterruptible power supply interface of the present invention opens its built-in current cut-off means.

A program based on the algorithm shown in the figure is installed to detect a power failure input and transmit it to a mouse signal line interface, which will be described later, to operate or control the current cutoff means 5. In actual use, for example, a program with an algorithm shown in FIG. 4 is executed on the personal computer side in contrast to the program shown in FIG. 2 used in the microprocessor 9. Reference numeral 12 denotes a mouse signal line interface, which performs parallel-to-serial conversion of signals and inputs and outputs them to the mouse signal line terminal 13. The mouse signal line terminal 13 is connected to a mouse signal line terminal of a personal computer or the like.

(Effects of the invention) The uninterruptible power supply interface of this invention is configured as described above, and even if a power outage occurs in the middle of processing, such as when a file is open, the file is automatically closed. After closing the file, the through circuit in the uninterruptible power supply interface of this invention is cut off, allowing computers such as personal computers to operate unattended without destroying the software, and also draining the battery. Damage caused by over-discharge can be avoided, and this has a significant industrial effect.
