通路内にボールを前後方向に転動可能なるよう遊
装し、登板路での制動時クラツチのオフ作動によ
りプツシユロツドが後方に移動し路面傾斜にてボ
ールが後方に転動してボールシートの開口部に当
接して該開口部を塞ぎ制動液圧を保持すると共に
、発進に際しクラツチをオンとすると該クラツチ
作動に連動するカムシヤフトが回動してプツシユ
ロツドを前方に移動させ、該プツシユロツドに当
接していたボールを前方に押圧移動させて制動保
持液圧を解除するようにした制動液圧保持装置に
おいて、上記ボールシートを上記本体に軸方向に
所定範囲移動可能なるよう保持すると共に、該ボ
ールシートを上記ボールに当接させる方向に附勢
するセツトスプリングを設け、上記ボール、ボー
ルシートおよびセツトスプリングにより上記下流
側の制動液圧が所定値より大となつたとき通とな
るリリーフ弁を構成したことを特徴とする自動車
