フード部側よりリテーナが前記フード部と該リテ
ーナとの相互に設けられた各挿入ガイド部にガイ
ドされて挿入され、前記リテーナはその検知部で
前記雄ハウジング内の端子係止片に雄端子が正常
係止状態にあるのか不完全係止状態にあるのかを
検知する構造になつており、且つ前記リテーナは
その仮係止部及び本係止部と前記雄ハウジングの
係合部との相互作用で仮係止状態と本係止状態と
に位置決めされる構造になつている雄コネクタに
おいて、前記リテーナの挿入方向の前部にはリテ
ーナ位置操作部が設けられ、前記雄ハウジングに
は前記リテーナ位置操作部を操作位置で露出させ
る窓が開口され、前記リテーナの前記挿入ガイド
部は突起として形成され、前記フード部の前記挿
入ガイド部は該フード部の内壁を窪ませて形成さ
れた溝により形成されていることを特徴とする雄
