(Prior Art) Conventionally, as described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 15863/1983, a harvesting machine for harvesting onions has been equipped with a conveyor at the rear of the tip and a foliage processing device at the rear of the conveyor. A transverse conveyor is provided at the rear of the foliage processing device, and the foliage processing device includes a smooth roller that is rotated in contact with each other in opposite directions, and a tapping roller that has a spiral protrusion formed in the axial direction. A structure is adopted in which a plurality of sets of roller units are arranged side by side on shafts.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) According to the structure in the above-mentioned publication, onion stems and leaves are separated and removed from the onion by being torn off from the base between the smooth roller and the tapping roller. If the stems and leaves are still green without drying out, the onion may be damaged, and the shoulder part of the onion may turn black due to friction between the smooth roller and the tapping roller, and the roots of the onion may be damaged. If the foliage is interposed between the smooth roller and the tapping roller and located above, the foliage may be difficult to be drawn between the smooth roller and the tapping roller, resulting in errors in removing the foliage.
When the leaves are withered and dry, such leaves have a low coefficient of friction with the rollers and are not drawn between the rollers, resulting in errors in removing the leaves.Additionally, the cutting length of the leaves changes depending on the diameter of the roller. be.

In addition, as described in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 57-129316, air is blown in the direction opposite to the direction in which onions are transported, so that the onion stems and leaves hang down and are easily drawn between the smooth roller and the tapping roller. However, in the structure described in this publication and the above publication, the onion is transferred in the transport direction while being rolled by the rotation of the smooth roller and the tapping roller. There is a problem in that onions are easily damaged during transportation due to the spiral protrusions of the container, and if onions become clogged, they may be damaged due to friction with the smooth roller and the tapping roller.

Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above points, and it is possible to make the stems and leaves of the onion that have been dug up stand vertically, and to transport the onion in a suspended state by taking in and holding the stems and leaves. The object of the present invention is to provide an onion harvesting machine that is capable of cutting off the stems and leaves during the transportation of onions, ensuring removal of the stems and leaves, and harvesting the onions without damaging them. be.

In addition, the foliage processing equipment that processes onion foliage is
A pair of clamping and conveying belts that rotate close to each other with their inner parts that clamp the foliage facing each other in the same direction, a supply body that supplies the foliage between the inner ends of the pair of clamping and conveying belts, and this pair of clamping and conveying belts. and a cutter for cutting the leaves sandwiched between the inner ends of the feeder, the feeder reliably supplies the vertically erected leaves between the inner ends of the pair of holding and conveying belts. At the same time, the onions can be reliably transported toward the cutter in a suspended state by sandwiching the stems and leaves between the inner ends of the pair of clamping and conveying belts. Since the onions are conveyed by the tapping rollers, the onions can be conveyed safely without being damaged by friction etc. It is possible to reliably cut the stems and leaves from the set position and separate the onions from the stems and leaves. In addition, the onions from which the stems and leaves have been removed are received by an onion conveying device and conveyed in a predetermined direction.
For example, it can be carried out in preparation for drying on the ground.
Therefore, each onion stem and leaf that is dug up while the harvester body advances by the traveling mechanism is reliably clamped and separated from the onion in a series of operations, and when removing the onion, the onion is removed. damage or
To provide an onion harvesting machine that does not cause onions to turn black or make mistakes in cutting stems and leaves, and is excellent in workability and quality control.
