Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 回転軸に固定した回転リングと、前記回転軸を
    囲繞するシールケーシングに取り付けられた固定
    リングとで一次側軸封面を形成し、かつ前記固定
    リングと前記シールケーシングとの間に二次側シ
    ール部が設けられているメカニカルシールにおい
    て、前記固定リングとの間に所定の隙間を有しか
    つ磁性材料で作られた一対のシール金具と、該シ
    ール金具の間に配設されかつ非磁性材料で作られ
    た前記固定リングと微少な隙間を有する軸受とを
    設け、前記シール金具の外周に電磁コイルを取り
    付け、該シール金具と前記固定リングとの間に磁
    性流体を封入したことを特徴とするメカニカルシ
    ール。
